I like to think of this question using an analogy to the Sims. If you created an Atheist character on the Sims, then what's the point? Why have him exist if he's not going to believe in you? Because you want the people in the game to think about themselves and not you; that's what makes the game interesting. In a way, it's as if God puts them in there to stop the 4th wall being completely broken.

That certainly fits the bill of an all-loving God; one that would put the good of humanity above making the world "interesting".Universezero wrote:I like to think of this question using an analogy to the Sims. Isn't self-awareness and the ability to reason part of the good of humanity?Blackson wrote:That certainly fits the bill of an all-loving God; one that would put the good of humanity above making the world "interesting".Universezero wrote:I like to think of this question using an analogy to the Sims. And, though somewhat less related, by humanity's inexplicable definition of an undefinable god.SlappyMcGee wrote:By humanity's only definition of good.Wight wrote:Isn't self-awareness and the ability to reason part of the good of humanity?

Make useful posts. Useful.
If you can't make 'em useful, at least make 'em entertaining. Something. Anything.

The point of life is for you to make something of it. Go outside your routine, and make a difference. To someone else, that is what matters.
