except for when normal people pretend they're gay (or bi) so they can look cool, which is the case of a few people in my school, and surrounding neighbourhood. they strut around, talking about how they kissed some guy the other night at a party, then everyone else just throws abuse at them and they go off to sulk or clean up their fringe. and yet they still keep on doing it, hoping that someone will take pity on them or something. i reckon its insulting.
it doesn't help that half of them are emos as well.

I have no problem with gays.
I don't understand the "it's not natural" argument, either. Surely these people have been on planes? Used a computer? Watched television? These things aren't natural either. But these are an accepted part of human culture and society. Saying gays aren't natural is equivalent to saying women having rights isn't natural either.

Universezero said that people should do whatever they want as long as it's not illegal, implying that if something is legal, it must be immoral. I wasn't saying that there is no abstract relationship between legality and morality. They are obviously both "things from which we base decisions on." The fact that one is objective while the other is based largely on personal bias is irrelevant.
To phrase my problem with universezero's statement as a question...
Why is something never alright to do if the government says you shouldn't do it?

Very true. Although I personally am an atheist, if one believes in God he should at the least follow God's principles.yungerkid wrote:well, if you had posted all of those things one at a time, i would have refuted them all individually. but i'm just too lazy to go through them all. :/
God is supposed to love us all equally, right? Then why does he hate gays?
ever heard of the concept "love the sinner, hate the sin"? God hates homosexuality; it perverts the natural form of sex that God created between a man and woman. however, He still loves every human on the earth; they are His creation. it is natural.
And if one's argument is that homosexuals are not humans (as this is the only contrary argument I can think of) then that person is sounding quite a bit like slave owners in Southern US, 200 years ago.

Looking back upon this near dead topic, I saw this little argument brewing.Skyling wrote:What exactly is unnatural about being gay?Evil_Sire wrote:Well a man being attached to a woman is natural.
I'd like to ask you, do you think dolphins and bonobos are natural creatures?
Dolphins engage in homosexual sex, yet have little sentience. They do it for pleasure, yet the act gives the group/school/colony/whatever of dolphins more social bondedness.
A bonobo male can actual turn it's penis inside-out to make a fake vagina to have homosexual sex with another male.
Fact is, these animals don't have these crazy social rules and standards to uphold. They are as natural as us, and they engage in homosexual acts as natural as heterosexual acts. Hell, bonobos are actually adapted to have gay sex.
Of course, this issue was probably sorted out long ago. But that's just my two cents.

ugh, all this "gay" crap is getting out of hand.
look, if they want to get married, adopt kids, and bump uglies i'm fine.
i don't see how it affects us in any way.
and the only reason why the "Holy" Bible (great work of fiction, i must say) says gay love is wrong is because GOD IS A HOMOPHOBE!!!!!
it's true.

death is, in and of itself, fascinating. sex... why deemed inappropriate? something that has always bugged me. shadows fall and the cities rise, sunlit moonrays take to the skies, this poem made no sense, all it did was rhyme. funny how people can be so... human... scary, more like. the people scare me. you never know what they'll say. i prefer criminals. at least you know when they'll shoot. Apathy, disinterest and a fear of offense can be just as bad as prejudice and hatred when it comes to complicated social issues.

I suppose you are being ironic and such - and I do sincerely admire that.DemonzLunchBreak wrote:You do realize that's almost pure tautology, right? I mean, I agree with you - God was homophobic to an incredible degree (in both the OT *and* NT, incluye), but you have to make an attempt at a more interesting sentence than that.
I'm sort of a religious guy, and I'm pretty sure it says right in the book that God doesn't hate anybody for any reason.
Not only that, Jesus told us to do the very same.
I can't speak for other religions, but I seriously doubt any religious diety of any kind encourages hate - and no I don't want to hear about Islam, Islam is a very peaceful faith.
Hating any person for any reason is not a very religious thing to do - it says right in the book that you shouldn't.

It's funny that people actually believe that though, y'know? So while you clearly must have been joking, it still is more than a little depressing that most people have such a complete lack of context from, y'know, most of history or any readings whatsoever from their own scriptures.
But yeah, that made my day, though. Good one.
