Mine has Thunder Wave, Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball and Air Slash >:3

Also, Pikachu coloured Pichu WiFi Mystery Gift ends tomorrow. For DPPt versions, trade it to HGSS to get the Spiky Eared Pichu.

No Nasty Plot? Man, I respectfully disagree with your choice of moves. We should battle some time, though. Forealz.

I got 3 of those shiney Pichus, one for each game =P

Yellow Forrest is available on the Wi Fi starting on April 1st i believe. Gets you a new pikachu based area for your PokeWalker. You can get a Pikachu that knows Fly, and one that knows Surf =P
Lord Serunson, oh yeah he's back!

The Pikachus would be cool. Surf would be the best one though. Raichu with Surf, counters all Ground and Rock types.

Got Heart Gold today (EU release day), and it's pretty awesome.

However, I'm struggling to see if it does have WPA connection... If not, then no WiFi for me. =(

Didn't you ask me about this yesterday? The Nintendo DSi will accept WPA keys. The DS and the DS Lite will not.

Yes, I did. However, I've known about the DSi for a while; I asked you if the game itself accepted WPA. You have to set up a WPA connection as an "advanced connection" on the DSi, which is useless if the game itself is designed for the DS, and thus does not recognise these connections.

That's the awkward thing, even though the DSi supports the WPA connections, the games rarely do. This is probably the worst thing about the DS that I know of because it means you've got to make your network easily hackable before you can use WiFi.

So, I got my copy of SoulSilver on Friday. Finding it much harder this playthrough for some reason. At Olivine Lighthouse now with 4 Pokes.

Pidgeotto Lv.23
Vulpix Lv.23
Croconaw Lv.25
Flaaffy Lv.23

What should I catch?

Oh yeah, I got my copy of SoulSilver on Thursday. Currently sitting at four badges, mucking around to raise my Eevee's happiness before proceeding. The team so far:

Croconaw, L24
Furret, L21
Beedrill, L20
Vulpix, L20
Magnemite, L19

That Eevee's gonna be an Umbreon down the road. While I'm busy playing with Eevee, I think I'll go back to the National Park and pick up a Scyther so I can have Scizor later. You see, Feraligatr, Umbreon, and Scizor were staples on my original GSC team when I was a kid, so for nostalgia's sake I've gotta use 'em again. Ninetales, Magneton, and a player to be named later will round out my team by the time I hit Indigo Plateau.

Oh man, oh man, oh man, OHMANOHMANOHMAN.

You know how you've always wanted those ultra-legendaries but couldn't go to a Pokemon event and didn't feel strongly enough about it to buy an Action Replay? Well, my friend, your long-suffering is over because...

The Global Trade Station has been reverse engineered.

That's right. Any Pokemon you want. Any official event Pokemon, even. It's yours just by running a Python script on your computer and essentially turning it into the GTS.

I've been using it all morning and it works... like... magic. Suggested use in correlation with http://www.pkmdb.com/ for the files.

That. Is. Awesome.

I've always quietly hated Nintendo for making me drive to LA or NYC to get a goddamn event Pokemon. Which I didn't do. Might've been kinda fun actually.

Also, come hang out on #pokemon, guys, for official HG/SS discussion!

I can't remember exactly what team I had when I went through the Elite Four the first time but I remember that I only really used three Pokemon.

Alakazam: lv. 46
Kangaskhan: lv. 43
Lugia: lv. 45

Kangaskhan is sort of awesome. She was one of the first Pokemon I caught on the Pokewalker and I used her the entire game. Crunch, Outrage, Dizzy Punch and Drain Punch. She helped with Will and took care of a lot of Karen. I've never used a Kangaskhan before and was really happy with how it works.

Alakazam is so broken. Psychic, Shadow Ball, Calm Mind, Recover. I had the Choice Specs on him, though, so I really only ever used Psychic. Only ever needed to use Psychic since it faints anything that isn't several levels higher than it and invested heavily in SpD. I think he went up five levels during the course of the elite four.

I needed Lugia to take care of some of Lance's mons. Aerodactyl is a sonofabitch.

Edit: I think I may have switched Red Gyrados into Aerodactyl a couple of times just for Intimidate.

Thank you. The Elite Four can be easily beaten in every game by an Alakazam with Psychic and any Pokemon with Ice Beam, even if you're ten levels down.

And I'm being serious, 2 trainers at each alarm, each with exactly the same Pokes.

My brother actually rampaged through Diamond with a Gyarados, who since the stat split has become extremely effective. DDance, along with a few type advantages, for the win.

I'd lose Hyper Beam on Aerodactyl, since its special stat is poor. You'd be much better off with maybe Crunch (level 33), Iron Head (level 49) or maybe one of the elemental fangs (heart scale). Ice Fang might be a good option, as you don't have much else to deal with dragons on your team, although I suppose most of them are dual types anyway, so maybe not.

Personally I'd replace Aqua Tail with Waterfall as it's more accurate and only slightly more powerful, but that's really up to personal preference.

This is a pretty sweet team, though, good going :D

Techno, drop Hyper Beam for Roost on Aero. And drop Aqua Tail for Waterfall on Gatr. Otherwise a solid team.

Lucky for getting HP Grass on Amphy.

I'm surprised at some of the in-game trades; just this morning I acquired Jasmine's Steelix.

The fifth Pokémon generation is here: The DS will be looking at the world in shades of Black and White (versions) this fall. In Japan, anyway.

On Monday, we learned that the next generation of Pokémon games would be getting a "shock announcement" this Sunday. Well, it may not be Sunday - not even in Japan, where it's the future - but Nintendo has taken the veil off of the newest Pokémon games anyway ... sort of.

After three generations of being named after gems and minerals (Gold/Silver/Crystal, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, Pearl/Diamond/Platinum, for those keeping score at home) it seems that Pokémon is getting back to some simpler colors with Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version. Insert your own Peter Molyneux joke here.

Though I'd predicted that the games would be launch titles for the 3DS, it looks like I was wrong - the games will be coming out for the regular, plain ol' DS, and will be released in Japan this fall. Judging by HeartGold/SoulSilver, hopefully this means we'll be getting Black & White here in the West in the beginning of 2011.

Other than that, we don't know much about the new generation of games, other than it will be adding at least two new pocket monsters, seen here: Zoroark, the Dark-type Monster Fox Pokémon, and its pre-evolution Zoroa. Nintendo is promising that "every aspect will be reborn innovatively," translates Joystiq, but what that means is anyone's guess.

I guess we'll be learning more soon - either on Sunday as originally announced, or on April 15th as mentioned on the official website. Until then, I'll be over in the corner squealing in glee and preparing to catch 'em all. Again.

Five bucks says they're introducing a Light-type.
http://www.pokemon.co.jp/bw/index.html

Also, I'm calling Black outsells White right now.
