I beat Tanner on Shoddy, basically it ended on me with my Vaporeon against his Blissey, taking Seismic Tosses like a pro. Wished, switched, healed off the incoming damage to Lucario. He switched, I SD on the switch. Then basically sweep.

I'd be down for some Shoddy after my finals are over in a couple weeks. UU, maybe?

Edit: Gah, I just remembered that Flygon got bumped up to OU after Garchomp was relegated to Ubers. Maybe a standard battle would be best, then.

You can now round trip your Pokemon from your DS to your computer and back without any special hardware.

HeartGold code: 3567 4576 9006

You guys should post your HG/SS party's so far, I'm interested to see them.

Since you asked, this is my SS team. I'm only four badges into Kanto;

Feraligatr, Lvl 50 - Crunch, Avalanche, Thrash, Waterfall (Still need to fix this guy's moves)
Houndoom, Lvl 55 - Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, Howl, Smog (Same)
Gengar, Lvl 54 - Thunderbolt, Focus Blast, Shadow Ball, Curse
Nidoking, Lvl 56 - Rock Slide, Earthquake, Earth Power (Just a placeholder till Megahorn at 58), Toxic Spikes
And I've been training up a Snover/Abomasnow which I transfered from Pearl and will soon transfer over a Lvl 50ish Skarmory from Emerald.

On a side note, Nidoking is amazing past level 58; Megahorn, Earthquake, Rock Slide and Ice/Thunder Punch provides a ridiculous amount of type coverage, all with pretty respectable stats. (Psychic, Dark, Grass, Rock, Steel, Fire, Electric, Flying, Bug, Ice, Poison, Dragon and Ground if you choose Ice Punch or Water if you choose Thunder Punch) Probably not that great in OU, but for playing through the actual game I use it all the time and it rarely disappoints.

EDIT: Oh, and since it seems like all the cool kids are doing it: 0475 0867 6199.

Yeh you can have Sucker Punch on there to prevent people outspeeding you :P

My team at current is.

Shoryuken (Blaziken) Lv.42 - Bulk Up, Slash, Double Kick, Ember (Yeh in training)
Venusaur Lv.36 - Double Edge, Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, Razor Leaf (Again)
Feraligatr Lv.57 - Ice Fang, Earthquake, Crunch, Waterfall
Umbreon Lv.54 - Dark Pulse, Protect, Wish, Toxic
Staraptor Lv.56 - Fly, Take Down, Close Combat, Brave Bird
Ampharos Lv.55 - Signal Beam, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Light Screen

That's my ingame team anyways, I have a ton of better stuff in my box, only annoyance is that you can't rebattle the trainers on the SS Aqua each time you take a trip.

Oh, I just bought a DS with Diamond included, and I plan to get Soul Silver after I've finished with Diamond. I wrote up a concise document about my team that I will have by the end of Diamond, and I'd love to hear some people's opinions on it:
(I've omitted some parts)

Drifblim
- Shadow Ball (Lvl 44)
- Stockpile (Lvl 22)
- Calm Mind (TM04: Located at the Battle Tower costing 48 BPs.)
- Spit Up (Lvl 27)

Staraptor
- Captivate (TM78: Located at Route 204)
- Brave Bird (Lvl 49)
- Fly (HM02: Located at the Galactic Warehouse)
- Roost (TM51: Located at Route 210)

Luxray
- Crunch (Lvl 35)
- Thunderbolt (TM24: Located behind the Valley Windworks)
- Thunder Fang (Lvl 42)
- Protect (TM17: Located at Veilstone Department Store)

Empoleon
- Surf (HM03: Located in Celestic Town)
- Grass Knot (TM86: Located at Route 11)
- Ice Beam (TM13: Located at Route 216)
- Mist (Lvl 46)

Azelf
- Flamethrower (TM35: Located in the Fuego Ironworks next to the boiler)
- Extrasensory (Lvl 51)
- Shadow Ball (TM30: Located at Route 210, requires RockSmash to access it)
- Nasty Plot (Lvl 46)

Dialga
- Earth Power (Lvl 60)
- Roar of Time (Lvl 46)
- Dragon Pulse (TM59: Located at Victory Road Northwest of Psychic Valencia)
- Substitute (TM90: Located at Veilstone Game Corner for 2000 coins.)

I had to choose a couple of the legendary pokes, because I wasn't happy with the lack of choice that Gen IV gives for fire types.
Also, nice team, Chase. Ampharos is one of my favorite pokemon. Oh, and that Venasaur move-set is really good.

Nah Venusaur's moveset is way off, it needs Energy Ball and Sludge Bomb. Changes to your team in bold.

Yo guys, I was wondering if this move set could be improved in any way:

TORTERRA
(Lv 100)

-Crunch
-Stone Edge
-Wood Hammer
-Earthquake

Item: Leftovers

They seem to fit in pretty well, especially Stone Edge (super effective against ice, bug, flying and fire, which are all Torterra's weaknesses)

If any of you could help, comments on it or suggestions, it would be appreciated :D
Cheers

Take a look at this

As you can see Torterra is best defensively for setting up traps etc. I think Leech Seed is a breeding move so putting EQ on there for stab instead would be viable.

I have HeartGold, but I still haven't finished it because I restarted once. As such, my old HeartGold FC is no longer correct. My really crappy team right now:

Bayleef (Flower) - Lv. 27
Dratini (Mercury) - Lv. 27
Zubat (Peridot) - Lv. 27 {SHINY!!!}
Staryu (Tri-Point) - Lv. 27
Magmar (Crimson) - Lv. 21 {new team member}

These levels are before fighting Chuck in Cianwood City. Also, I'm using Geodude and Tentacool as HM slaves for getting around, even though I already gave Surf to Staryu.

I don't have a sixth team member yet; I'm thinking something that isn't Ice weak, since 3/5 of my team already is.

If you must know my Emerald team for my current playthrough its this, feel free to suggest nicknames because I'm boring.

Trapinch Lv.26 (F) - Bite, Sand Attack, Faint Attack, Sand Tomb
Swellow Lv.28 (M) - Wing Attack, Endeavor, Focus Energy, Quick Attack
Nuzleaf Lv.29 (M) - Nature Power, Fake Out, Growth, Bullet Seed (The only Grass move it will know until I get another TM, contemplating replacing with Tropius at Route 119 which is where I am now).
Marshtomp Lv.31 (M) - Take Down, Mud Sport, Mud Shot, Surf
Manectric Lv.26 (M) - Howl, Quick Attack, Spark, Odor Sleuth
Torkoal Lv.29 (F) - Ember, Body Slam, Curse, Protect

Torkoal beat Norman single handedly, Curse 4 times on Spinda, then Body Slam my way through, for Slaking it was attack, Protect, attack, repeat. :P

Pokewalker. I walk tons more than I actually play my game, so I unlocked Blue Lake and caught a Dratini on the course. Getting Twister one level later made Falkner pretty easy, though he's such a weak trainer that I've soloed him with Chikorita in the past.

Can Celebi be caught in any game since Crystal? The internet is confusing and it is one of only a couple of holes in my 'dex.

That's a no, Slaps. The only way is via Crystal, and you have to have the GS Ball. Um, I'm not sure if you can use the Celebi egg glitch in Heart Gold or Soul Silver, but it'd be worth it. The only other way would be via Action Replay code.

EDIT: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Celebi_egg_trick (Just in case you feel the need to use it.)

As I suspected. Thanks, Mate. It's a real bummer, though. I'll probably dig up a gameshark. :)

There should be an event for HGSS soon. Otherwise I can send you one.

I heard rumors to that effect. I hope it is at a Toys R' Us again; there are two within biking range of my apartment.

You people actually go to those things? I've been in love with Pokemans ever since I was around 8 or so and I don't think I've ever actually physically been to an event.

Also, I have an EV'd Starmie and Togekiss, leaving my with four extra slots for a main team. I was thinking about a Linoone, but that's a bit... Risky. Thoughts?

Those are both special attackers. So you should get some physical attackers. Breloom or Metagross would fit well, I imagine. And if you want some walls, Blissey for SpD and Skarmory for Def.
