If you have a very specific variety that you favour, if possible, try to place it in one of the broad general categories. For example, mandarins are oranges. So are tangerines.
I voted for limes because, although oranges clearly are the best and will surely top this poll, I wish to challenge lemon hegemony.

I voted for grapefruit because grapefruit and grapefruit-derived products are the kind of citrus that I consume most frequently but I don't know if I really have a favourite citrus. Each citrus has its own strength.

I voted for lemons. The juice makes a great sause on various things (pancakes! With sugar too! :O), and the zest is useful in cooking.
