An interesting variant of N

Talk about the classic version of Metanet Software's amazingly popular freeware platformer right here!

What if the ninja couldn't die? What if they instead just bounced around hard like their corpse does when they are currently hit? It would be like playing a pinball game where you are the ball. Obviously the levels would have to be designed differently, but the goal could still be time based and the same baddies could be used.

Thoughts?

Interesting, but unlikely; The whole point of the game is to be stealthy and nimble like a ninja. Turning him into an invulnerable rubbernaut would just defeat the whole purpose and gamers will just end up rummaging and rushing through the levels, like a human bowling ball, if you will.

But with a different name and backstory? I'd give it a shot :)

I don't think the idea is relevant to N as we know it but I'm just commenting to say hi to CF. flag here :D

hi CoffeeFreak.
Yeah, it's probably couldn't be made that relevant to n as it is.

Hi thar. :D

Now that the idea's out, would it sound good if M&R added said game mode as an unlockable secret to add some replay value for players who have beat the game? Just thinking out loud.

Almost surreal that there's a Heartview thread and CF is commenting on it.

I think it was 3 years for me... or so. I am enjoying making maps again more than playing. :p
