So I was just playing the map Aperture Science Testchamber 03 by HisTime, and I did a wallslide down... well, thin air. For some reason NUMA declares the demo data as invalid, so you'll have to load the demo from here.

Anybody seen this before, or know what causes it?

The same.

And again.

Plus, Ben_Schultz_11's 40-3 highscore and darkshadow's 126-3 speedrun.

As far as I know, the cause of this isn't known. But TheRealOne (etc) might have some ideas.

Ah, my mistake. Some mod can delete this thread.

Oh wow. I've just been playing this map and it's extremely easy to reproduce. All it takes is just to hold left until you reach the bounceblock and then let go. Right, THIS one I've definitely not seen before.

It's certainly worthy of further investigation. Let the thread stay.

Also I just got a (painfully slow) demo on 185066 with 2 of these slides, which is just weird.

It's the same bug, zap. It just happens to be one of those times where it's easier than normal to reproduce, like with the falling through oneways. (this one is much easier to create overall, though, but still...)

I'm not sure what exactly causes this glitch, but my guess is the rebound of the bounceblock mixed with faulty collision detection. The actual bug appears to be that the game thinks the ninja is sliding on a wall behind it, but the ninja itself is facing the opposite way. Consequentially, this glitch will only work so long as there is flat tile directly behind the ninja. The game will also consider then ninja to hit anything that happens to be on the wall as well, even if, visually, it doesn't.

Izzy and TRO - #n-highscores: <@Izzy> Where'd those frames come from? | <TRO> meta's ninja runs faster | <@Izzy> He stole TFK'S?!
Life247 - #n-highscores: Grrr, you're too perfect Meta.
Pryocheese - this map: of course you'd figure out how to cheat anti-cheat methods
Kablizzy: Click
kkstrong: I fully expect him to sig that.

TOO BAD!
