^This is by far the sexiest thing I've ever made. I just love it.
^ My most recent race, and my best. I stalled out on races after this one.
^ One of my favourites from long past. I really loved that one.
^ Another one. This was one of my firsts to get solid feedback from everyone who played it, and I felt great about it.
^ I thought this was underrated. I just love the atmosphere.

Botanic (MR-0) is my absolute favourite (I'll refrain from listing the rest of the episode which is also pretty good).
Tenderhocks is one of my only puzzle-ish maps.
Turn It Up is solid.
montgomery brunswick (4-4) is for tunnel rats.
Insomnia Redux: The Return of the Erotic Mailman is better than it should be.

I hugely disagree with your choices. Nice job
http://greenbrown.bandcamp.comPeople write to me and say, "I’m giving up, you’re not talking to me." I just write them a simple message like, "Never give up," you know? And it changes their life

Some artists are never recognized for the works in which they pride themselves the most. You'd probably disagree with my choices too. ;)Amadeus wrote:I hugely disagree with your choices. Nice job

I was working on a paper when I wrote that, so I didn't have time to pick 'em out, but now that I've got a minute... certainly!flagmyidol wrote:On that subject, please post them.Pheidippides wrote:You'd probably disagree with my choices too. ;)
...Wow, it's hard to choose. I mean, my maps generally get better as time goes by, but this about /favorites/, so I need to find the nostalgia bombs in the haystack, so to speak...
...Ignoring map-packed maps...
...Here's a rough approximation. These are all maps where I felt that everything about my mapmaking at the time came together to create something very "me." #1 wins on sentimentality. :)

In another sense, now that I think about it, mapping itself was never the highlight of my experience on numa. What was important was the entire experience - coming to the community, interacting with it, developing a creative rhythm, building a creative style from scratch, seeing others be influenced by my things, enjoying other peoples' maps, being proud of what I'd done, and all the many individual experiences that have shaped my memories of this place. My best memories of this place are deeper than just the simple inventions of new concepts for races, or even the creation of the races themselves. It's not just the people that I've met, either. It's everything about numa. I have come away a better person in many ways from all my experiences here, and my maps themselves are not what I am proud of. However, they don't reflect what I had hoped I would achieve from this place; I have not expressed my full creativity in them. I suppose that in the end I am going to have to accept the whole experience if I accept most of it. Wow, I'm really rambling now.
