Huh.

I people really do judge books by their cover.
While I do agree we should sample before making a true opinion, some of us have been doing this long enough now that we can tell at a glance the general quality of a map.

I'll play through some of yours now and leave some proper comments.

EDIT: Ok, I left what I hope are some helpful comments on a few of your maps. If you'd like any other advice, feel free to ask wherever.

Ah. You see, the map-playing masses will judge your maps by their thumbnails, or by your name. I was merely giving you an honest scope of the situation.

YES.

That was all quite helpful, thank you!

I am revising and working on a different style of map now!

If you really want to get better at making maps read either of atob's guides. They can help you expand upon your mapmaking.
There were two?

I would also recommend downloading the Legacy packs and reading all the map theory and statistics files. They're really insightful :D

Some mappers get instant success, and others don't. I much prefer the latter. I think it's important to grow slowly as a mapper. Patience comes to mind.
Also, atob is a champion amongst champions. I have gained much inspiration from him over the years, as well as some good constructive criticism on some of my maps. A better example of a consistent map-maker there never was.
