hahah Techno's font is a rip-off that tetris one...

Could someone edit the OP to have real information in it? Like, what exactly Arachnid is offering to do, and for how long? Any news on fixes?

And are we looking for just a superficial facelift, or an entirely new system...?

Etc, etc.

EDIT: What /can/ be implemented? Does Arachnid have the time to completely change things around?

Techno's first submission was awesome; colours could be played around with a bit though.

I really like this, but a few things that hit me:
*It's really narrow. On my widescreen monitor it looks way too skinny. But I'm not sure what you can fill the edges with, to be honest.
*The rating image.

If this is possible with the new theme, could we make the comments threaded/respondable? It could with the comments, like incluye has "notices".

This would be cool, but darker, light blue seems like such a generic colour for numa.

Agreed 100%. This would look great with a darker scheme.

Update: Check it again. Totally revamped the design in what I think is a more promising direction. It also feels NUMAyer to me.

Techno's first design is pretty cool looking. An important emphasis to this revamp is the need for interchangeable colour schemes and/or skins, similar to these forums.

Well, I don't know what to say about T3chno's new design. It's just... too futuristic for me, lol. But the font is kinda cool.

Oh, and Inspired's design is pretty cool.

That is why I decline the title of Iron Cook and accept only the lesser title of Zinc Saucier, which I just made up. Also, it comes with double prize money!

at first i wasn't even thinking of entering, or even brainstorming
then i got bored
some ideas popped into my head and i started sketching

its in the very early stages but i have the recent map page worked out in photoshop and am working on the home page, the rest is on paper.

p.s. how does numa feel about a pen on paper look, using note papers/sticky notes/folders, etc

I wanted to do a redesign of the website a while back but then someone fucked over my NUMA account and I lost all hope.

Regardless, I don't have the time to do my own redesign. I would like to see a few other things implemented into NUMA also and I am not sure that is going to happen with Arachnid being so flaky.
Thus I present to you my colour palette:

I decided against the laid down paper/sketchy look
Its not a look that would last, i'm going with something more simple and appropriate.

I agree. NUMA's going through so many facelifts that sooner or later we'll just start calling it "Jocelyn Wildenstein" and treat it like a constant design contest.

EDIT: I like Inspired's. Except for that font.
And also, what's actually wrong with NUMA's design? Google's had the same thing since for ever and it's worked brilliantly for them. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
