I've asked Eddy before how much he uses English, and he says its pretty much only here, or at least elsewhere on the internet. Barely ever gets the opportunity to practice actually speaking it. So don't judge their ability to speak English just based on the posts. For all we know, it takes 2 minutes to get the proper wording for each sentence they write, and obviously that wouldn't translate (haha, see what I did there? :P ) well to live commentary, especially while trying to concentrate on playing to a high level. That all said, I am still interested in watching this race :)

How about speaking in Spanish or German when necessary, and having subtitles dubbed in later? ;)
