Don't forget that you can always go back to the previous maps and submit runs on them. Good luck on this map. It's much more open and full of route possibilities!

Taken this weeks map for now and improved my run from last week to within a frame from macro.
I don't particularly like the look of the first map, but I'll probably submit a terrible run at some point.
Oh and those sigs look awesome.

Caught up in all maps, so far I'm enjoying all the selections.

I'll keep picking high-quality maps if you guys keep filling up those scoreboards. Seeing more than four names on these maps makes me entirely too giddy. PS kick-ass runs as per usual.

And to everyone else: thank you very much for keeping the chart updated. One less thing for me to worry about. :p

This one's gonna be harder than expected. But I believe in you all. Good luck, and maybe some promotions are in your futures.

Got a run. Not really happy with it, but I submitted it anyway, 'cause now at least I have something.

In this contest, are one high score runs aloud? Or do you people do speed running too?

Highscores are easier to calculate since they're just a simple cumulative sum. If I added speedruning, I'd have to apply an equation:
TOTAL FRAME COUNT
TOTAL MAP COUNT
So I don't wanna sound lazy or anything, but I chose the option which required less work. You are more than welcome to speedrun all the maps, but the contest is currently only for highscore runs.

Hey Aidi, you should add speedrunning too to this contest. Just need to edit some columns in the google sheet. The competition will be primarily for highscoring, but people may speedrun as side quest. :D
What do you think?

*grumbles* I added a second sheet on the bottom. If you'd like to work out the best way to calculate the scores, please do so. I'm still hesitant to add speedrunning to the contest, although I do understand your desires. :/

That formula isn't what we'd want neither. You just need to imagine two people playing a single map each, the one that plays the shortest map will have a better score over the other person.

You need to take into account the frame count of each map, maybe by using the 0th score.

Well, the speedrunning is just a beta stage for now.

I have followed Eddy's idea and now the individual score is calculated as ratio of frames of a player to that of 0th run times 100. As people submit runs in highscore mode, the runs appear in speedrun mode too. So, having speedrun data is not an issue. I will inform every player to compete in the speedrun mode as well, so that they improve their score.

Great choice again, Aidiera. Submitted my run. The route looks good, but I'm sure jp can find one that is at least 3 seconds faster. :P

I'll focus on highscoring, but I might go for some speedruns from to time too.

How would somebody else like to take a turn at picking maps? I don't want this to get stale, and I know you guys are good at finding maps which are competition-worthy. I have about two more, but if anyone wants to try their hand, you're more than welcome. I usually try to pick maps which haven't had many people play them so that routing is more likely, so keep that in mind. And good luck on this map.

Got a run in I'm kinda happy with. Still going to try to improve it though.

EDIT: Couldn't resist long. Improved.

Also, if nobody minds I'd love to pick two or three maps.

I like this idea. I think all the active participants should be allowed to pick a few maps if they like. But please choose maps that everyone can complete and that don't require any special skills like superfast chimneying or jumping between mines.

Submitted a decent run for the current map. I wonder if it's possible to beat the drone.

macro, your idea of what a decent run is is probably a little offset from the general perception. :P

I would have to agree with this statement. I got a pretty good run up there, and its still over a quarter second off of your 'decent' run. My best (by 5 frames), by simple frame count and ignoring any missed gold, was still 4 frames short of yours.

You know, there are always frames left, that's why. :D
