To ska and anyone else who's competing or reading this thread. I don't want any of this to feel like a time commitment, which is why it's just one map a week. Missing a week or joining late is fine with me. The head to heads aren't really intrinsically meaningful (just a little extra motivation if you want and something for me to write about every week) and one can always add in times on the spreadsheet at their leisure.

ska's spot is open, but it's not really a "spot" as such, there's an endless number of open spots.

I've also got an idea that would better wholly encapsulate what I want from this league which I might try in a couple weeks.

Sorry for my run guys, the truth is that I'm busy as fuck with uni, and its gonna last for 3-4 more weeks till I finish the semester (I barely studied before that's why xD). My run was of course a joke, I was expecting to do a proper run the day after, but I couldn't. Anyway, I'm not dropping, but I can't promise anything neither :P

Yeah I figured a lot of people will be doing their finals etc. at the moment, like LouDog said you can always backfill your runs when you have more time.

I'll be going back to work at the end of this month so you'll probably see a steep drop in the quality of my runs then, but I'll try to still submit something.

Had a quick go on the new map and submitted my run, I'll wait to see if anyone else is going to play before improving it :p

Edit: Question for Loudog, how are you choosing the map each week?
Lasts weeks map was pretty long so I can understand people not having the time to submit a run. Maps like this week's one would probably be a better length.

lol at your description of my run. I'm not very good at picking out routes, and I think my biggest problem was that I couldn't do the start fast enough to have enough room for the chimney up to the top. I played around with a route that involved a cj and a between mines jump to get up there, but somehow never thought of going past the floorguard to get to the first chaingun section. Unless Eddy and/or ska improves their run from this week, I think we have a clear picture on the podium finishers on total score.

I do like this weeks map better, but I think unless I break down and look at jp's route I don't have a chance at catching up to him. Even with an agd run, I'd be 3 seconds back. He must have an amazing route.

Think I've got a pretty decent chance of being close to the top this week with the run I've got. Certainly can be cleaned a bit yet, but I don't see any obvious quicker routes for gold collection. That being said, the oneways by the exit are a pain trying to finish the level...

I really want Eddy, macro, and/or ska to come along this week and give this map a try. I just can't believe that I've gotten the optimal route here, and am curious on just how far behind I really am. Actually, I really just want it to be something other than a 1v1 week, when we started with 6 competitors...

I think I have a reasonably clever route despite the awkwardness of the bottom section, best time submitted so far though far from macro's stated run.

Got a 132.400. I think my route could yield 133 with cleaning and if I went at the middle rocket less passively, but it feels like I'm just waiting for lucky enemy delay which is frustrating.
