Thanks, gr_8, I'll PM you the details.

To answer toasters, Judges cannot compete. Sorry. If we had enough, they might be able to rotate weeks to challenge Gyms without being eligible for Championship or prizes; it would be for fun. As for right now, Judges will not be competing in any way. I want to get this contest off the ground before I try things like that.

To answer Destiny, there won't be any optional Gyms right away, I can tell you that much. Maybe later in the contest, when things have been smoothly running for some time. Again, I want to get the basic contest off the ground first.

Alright, in that case I'm going to have to pass being a judge, because I really want to participate in the contest. Just to make sure, can anyone challenge a gym, or is there a sign-up somewhere?

Is NaNing allowed? It's nothing you can't accomplish with starting the ninja on switches (for drones, anyway), but that looks ugly as hell. It's basically a shortcut to something you can do anyway, with benefits that are solely aesthetic.

Also it would make the most sense if you had a sort of checklist that only the judges have access to, so that they can check off maps as they judge them and edit and keep it up to date. Sort of like a group notepad so that everyone is on the same page. As opposed to a forum post where they would have to PM the OP and have them edit it, etc. I don't know what you already have organized or have in mind, but if you get the idea of what I'm trying to say.... Meh. I'm sure you have the judge system all planned out.

As for judging myself, I'm too psyched to be challenging these maps to rule myself out of possible Neditor Nation Championship status.

toasters, anyone can challenge the Gyms after signing up in the sigunup thread, which I have yet to create. I need to know who's planning on challenging Gyms so I can keep track of their progress.

Zivilyn, I was planning on a Gym challenge submission thread where competitors would post their submissions between Monday and Wednesday. After the submissions start rolling in, Judges would post in the thread to let everyone know which maps they'd be judging. It's a tad awkward, but because all of the Judges have to read it, they'll immediately know what's left to be judged as long as everyone has stated what they'll be judging. It's also right here on the forums, with most of the other contest materials. I think as long as it's done properly, it'll work out fine.

Oh my gosh, gr_8, I totally spaced on that. I'm so sorry. PM'ing right away.

Also, NaNing is manual nediting, so it's not allowed.

I think you need some seperate forums for this. www.zetaboards.com allows free creation of nice-looking forums, that's what i'd do.

I considered it, but if worse came to worse I'd ask the Admins if a subforum in Contests and Tournaments could work first. Running a forum is a lot of work. Plus, it's just one more website other than this one where competitors would have to go. I want to keep things as localized as possible.
