Nice job Yeti. That run was great. Overall it was pretty clean. I don't think you are maxed out either. The routes you took on some of the levels could be improved quite a bit with out adding that much risk.EddyMataGallos wrote:I just did, managed an unclean 18:06 with a couple deaths on my third completion. I'm not even uploading the video because I'll be going for sub-18 soon, was going to do it today, but I lost my focus and I'm dying too much now, so I'll try again tomorrow with a fresh mind. I think I can pull it down to 17:30 if I manage no mistakes, I mean, based on the main time wastes I had in this run and the previous one.YetiRevolution wrote:Just managed an 18:23 on column 00. Not a perfect run, since I had one small death on 08-1, and my movement wasn't great in a lot of places. Overall though I'm happy with it, and will probably take a break from column 00 even if someone beats me :p

Eddy, how many speedrun 0th routes are you following vs safe marathon strats?
Also big thanks to Yeti for bring exposure to N in the larger speedrunning community. I would love to see a race next year or at SGDQ if they will have you back. I had always thought that N wasn't as prominent in the speedrunning community as it should be for its game type. Though I can see that our focus on individual level highscoring and speedrunning does not fit as well with the whole game running that most speedrunners are in to. Also individual levels is at such a high level at this point that taking a 0th involves like several hundred suicides so it is not the best for spectators.
