So, the basic idea here is to map. Nothing really special, nothing innovative in the slightest, just a mapping competition with some themes / conditions. Simple, right? Yes. Yes it is.
As far as the themes / conditions go, I dunno, some might be simple some might be a bit more complicated. I already have a few in mind, although they're really not anything special. However, I think you'll enjoy what I'll throw towards you. Some rounds might have one theme. Some might have 5. Some 10. Who knows, you'll have to wait to find out. ;)

As noted above, the rules are simple! Each round, a theme (or themes) will be posted. All you guys have to do is make a map to try and fit to that theme as closely as you can. Lots of creativity is a plus, here! In addition, i love wacky stuff so the themes will be pretty unique. This does not mean hard to map for, though!
RULES / GUIDELINES / THINGS
1. Each round, make a map to fit the themes specified.
2. Tag your maps with "AptS[X]", where X= the number of the current round. So, round 1 would be AptS1, and round 354462 would be AptS354462. PLEASE TAG WITH "AptS"! I FORGOT THAT APT 1 AND 2 AND SO ON WOULD ALREADY BE TAKEN! :O
3. The map must be complete-able, however, impossible gold is A-OK.
4. Creativity when mapping around a theme is the most important thing to remember.
5. Please POST YOUR MAPS IN THIS THREAD.

and now it's time for some technical BS with theJUDGING! :Dyeah i am totally a reliable person shut up ;;
so, your maps will be judged on some criteria:
THEME! : x/50 points
the theme is important. Stick to the theme!
FUN! : x/50 points
this is also a big one. You gotta make a fun map!
ASCENTHETEHABBABITCS AESTHETICS! : x/30 points
So it's not as important as being fun or thematic, but if you make a great-looking map, that's awesome, good for you (and gives you a more tangible reward in the form of points, if you need more than compliments to feel good)! strive to be baller as hell.

AND NOW FOR THE FINAL BITS OF THE JUDGING PROCESS:
There will be a number of eliminations each round. I will specify how many at the same time as the Week's Theme is posted.
In this way, the lowest score (or scores) of a specific round will be eliminated from the tournament brutally nicely, with a handshake. It's harsh, but sometimes we gotta accept that.
as far as actual judges go, Give me a holler if you'd like to judge with (or even instead) of me, otherwise it;'ll just be me and a friend so you'll have to trust my judgement (oh god)
oh and i forgot to mention:
by posting a map in this thread for round 1 : CLOUD CITY you are indeed signing up for the contest. After Round 1 is over, i will not be accepting any more entrants into the contest. Sorry!
