blink-182. They molested me with music for a solid hour and a half last Saturday. And it felt amazing.

I've seen them, and Meh.
Dude... whatever. =P

Rush are, like, the best band EVAR, so maybe it's hard for people who aren't that into their music to get into their shows, and I'll admit there are a lot of people for whom Rush's style does not quite fit. I loved them live, but I can see why others might now.

Really? I'm kinda surprised, to be honest. When did you see them?

Usually I hear nothing but good about Rush live =) But it's sweet to find another Rush fan. We tend to be fairly rare.

went to the Marilyn Manson concert two weeks ago. it wasn't bad, but wasn't nearly as euphoric as the k-os concert. the part was, after the concert, someone took a swing at a cop and the entire WPD was downtown. and I got into a conversation with two ladies in their late twenties complaining about their old age. then I went home and watched the second half of Cube and the first 10 minutes of Pi. now I have a very urgent desire to see Pi :(

Anyone heard of DEVO? Most ridiculous shit ever. I just realized they came to Austin last spring for SXSW and I missed it. I highly recommend their first album for sheer hilarity.

I FUCKING LOVE YOU.

Well. Actually, I'm upset that you gain only funny value from DEVO.

But I love that you mentioned Devo because they are amazing live.

Rush were awesome. Metallicafag and the rest of the crowd was the problem. Sitting down during a rock concert? Who ever heard of such slick faggotry. Plus we swing danced to a drum solo! Don't you remember how awesome that was?!

The only problem with the concert was they didn't just play all of 2112. They played some of Snakes and Arrows. Shudder.

Man, I bought Different Stages JUST because it has the only ever live full version of 2112. I barely even listen to the other songs. That song kicks live.

But S&A is still wicked, even if they played 90% of it live. That was a bit much, I'll admit.

I haven't been to many live performances in my life (to my great regret), but possibly one of the most fun shows was Foxy Shazam at the Kathedral in Toronto. Eric Nally's a wild guy.

The biggest live event of my life thus far, however, has been the Hillside Festival in Guelph this past summer. So many awesome acts. The best for me were FRED, Tokyo Police Club, and The Arkells.

Indeed sir, I am. I too can see a burgeoning friendship.

John Mayer's "Where the light is" performance in LA is flawless.

Rammstein. Amazing effects, overall character, and performance. The music is pretty good, too. The band is aggressive in a good way.

Enter Shikari never fail to entertain. Lostprophets and The All-American Rejects played their music perfectly, singing for both was spot on. Madina Lake were entertaining.
Zebrahead were interesting too, as were The Birthday Massacre.

Mayhem. Can't go wrong with putting pig heads on stakes and throwing skulls into the audience... well, at least with Maniac.

Slappy, can we get a pin for this and turn into a running catalogue of the live music we've seen lately?
