Really good. Very similar to Autechture or Aphex Twin or µ-Ziq. I thought it was very masterfully done but I sort of felt that it was just a competent iteration of principles already in place by previous IDM artists. The movie was wicked, too. 7.5/10

that's a really good song to get lost in, although I'm not prone to find satisfaction in noise or noise-esque music. 6.5/10

While I really didn't like it at first, I played it again while randomly browsing the web, and I enjoyed it a lot more. It's better as background ambient noise, not really something I would intentionally pick out to listen to. 4.5/10 for me sitting there looking at the video wondering what the hell was going on, 6.5/10 when it was in the background.

Spoon - June's Foreign Spell (ignore the first few seconds, that's not actually in the song if you couldn't guess - this was the only video I could find with the music on it short of uploading it myself)

6/10: I really don't like the vocals in this song, but the music itself wasn't that bad. Not interesting or different enough for my taste, i guess.

I find Battles tiresome and unplesent in an album context, but I enjoyed this song on its own. Structure is excellent, as I would expect of math rock, and it got my foot tapping. Vocals are still irritating, though. 7/10.

0.1 / 10

It gets 0.1 because at just around the one minute mark, I thought it might devolp into something that didn't hurt my speakers. But then it didn't.

0.1 / 10

It gets 0.1 because, around the three second mark, I thought it could develop into legitimately interesting and heady music. But then it began to distort and tease the very fabric of my brain.

0.1 / 10

It gets 0.1 because, around the three second mark, I thought it could develop into legitimately interesting music. But then it just played essentially about 4 different basic rhythms for 9 minutes.

You're breaking this thread! It had a rhythm! You threw off its groove! I realize that you were the OP of this thread but I sort of feel like it should be kept where a poster can express their opinion of the track above them without having someone else come in and second guess it no matter how wrong and stupid they are. It keeps this thread unlike every other thread on this forum.

DeadMau5 being great as usual (though not as good as some of their other songs). 8/10

I've never heard of Kasabian, but that was pretty cool. The vocals really matched the music, and the beginning pulled you in with that weird vibe thing. 7.5/10.

Not my style, and even if it was, I still think I wouldn't really like it. 3/10

Next song:
http://soundcloud.com/sound-of-stereo/s ... echno-2009

It's Sound Of Stereo live at 'I Love Techno 2009', and I think this is the best liveset I've ever heard.

This song lasts 1h and 50min. So if you don't listen to all of it, I can understand. But you should really listen to:
00.00-03.00
14.00-16.00
and mostly 1.25.00-1.27.00 The lady who's presenting the show is shouting things there and is going completely crazy. Every time I listen to that I get goosebumps.

I couldn't find much to be interested to in this song. If the lyrics were potent, the vocalist didn't convince me. The production was well done, though, despite the fact that it couldn't carry the song behind the apathetic vocals. 5/10

I didnt like it so much the first time I listened to it, especially the first couple of minutes. But after multiple times listening to it I find it fantastic, especially when it gets to the vocals. Just makes me feel good. :3

I give the first half of the song a 4/10, but the latter portion after the 2:10 mark a 7/10.

Hey, that's pretty neat. I like all the reversed sounds, keeps the harmonics while sounding pretty weird. Strange, but not too strange. Feels good.

4/5 (8/10)

Bonobo - Pick Up
Fun flute riffs, catchy bassline, breakbeats, upbeat. More or less your standard Bonobo track.

I fuckin' love Bonobo! Though I enjoyed the track, it's not as good as Kong, Ketto, or Flutter, to name a few. 7/10

My opinion is that Placebo bit off a lot more than they could chew with this cover. I really like the original and it's entirely because Kate Bush was totally crazy and you could tell she was completely involved and committed to every aspect of the song. It was entirely sincere. I don't get this from Molko. To me, it sounds like one of the members of Placebo heard Trent Reznor singing Cash's "Hurt" and thought, "We could do that!" I'll bet they could, too! They're that kind of band. But I don't think they did it here. 1/5
