Who's your favourite out of Avey Tare and Panda Bear? based on both solo stuff (and other non-AC musical things they've done) and Animal collective contributions.
Personally I like Avey Tare a lot better. While I don't love what I've heard from Avey Tare's solo album, his vocals bring a lot more emotion to the music to me, and he's so free of any inhibitions, his contributions to parts of some songs are fucking weird. like they sound so odd, and sometimes stupid if you really focus on it, but then if you just ignore all that shit you've got built into you from less. odd. music. it sounds so good. and far out his screaming and all. Yeah.
in summary- Avey Tare because I think he is completely free of inhibitions and brings so much emotion to his songs, really complex emotion as well, like you can feel loneliness, and sometimes feel like three separate emotions at once from his one contribution.

This is the only Avey Tare song I've heard. But it's good, so I'll go with him.

I like Panda Bear more. I don't know what you said about being free from inhibitions, because I find his music to be much more experimental in a different way than AC than Tares. (convuluted sentence needs more spelling and punctuationssssss)

yeah, you can stream a couple of the others off hype machine, plus there's his stuff with kria brekkan.Aidiera wrote:This is the only Avey Tare song I've heard. But it's good, so I'll go with him.
mainly I mean in the way of his singing, like, he shouts and screams and shrieks and singles and goes into warped voices and like, in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l382GBQ8tU (I'm not sure if it's the reversed version or not, but yeah) where he sings 'do do d-do do, and really odd 'ooooo' based melodies, that sound like, almost stupid/immature/whatever, but then as part of the whole thing sound really good=w= wrote:I don't know what you said about being free from inhibitions, because I find his music to be much more experimental in a different way than AC than Tares
EDIT: I'm definitely still sticking by avey tare - instantly hits me on a musical and emotional level, but shit, the snippets of those two tracks over on amazon of Panda's from the coming album sound really good.
