Alright, so a ton of my friends don't believe that the White Stripes are any good. Somebody tell me what their best album is so I can convert them (and I've been wanting some new music lately). Much appreciated.

1) You are asking us for our collective opinion of a band -- your own evidently isn't good enough? -- to pass on to your friends. I would assume and sort of hope that our opinion is meaningless to them.
2) This does not merit a thread.
3) Raconteurs' stuff was better. (I might take some flak here.)

Don't listen to flagmyidol. He thinks he's a moderator but he's actually not.

Tanner didn't have anything constructive to say but it's fine because he disagreed with me. That's more than enough for one little post.

Fuck them both. The White Stripes are awesome and the Cells album is the easiest to listen to for the unawares.

I disagree with your saying that this doesn't merit a thread. It's about music in the music forum and doesn't belong in any other thread: that's the definition of deserving a thread.

Well, frankly, they are all good, although Elephant is my least favorite. Seven Nation Army carries that album.

I like Elephant best. "Seven Nation Army" and "The Hardest Button to Button" are great of course, but "Ball and Biscuit" is probably my favorite song of theirs, I love the little solos in it.
