I am suffering from Liars burnout due to listening to everything they put out many times over the course of a few months earlier this year. Sisterworld is still probably top 20, though.

I would just like to emphasize that gloomp did this to himself and it is no reflection on Liars.

Oh, yeah, totally. I have no one but myself to blame.

Whoa! Someone else has heard of Alcest! I had no idea. I don't run into other people who have heard of bands in my library very often. Alcest is so much better than Les Discrets in my opinion. I didn't know they were that mainstream though.

I think that if a band has a wikipedia page, they are not indie and this should be the new measurement.

For me, once a band sells out (only for money though) they lose their indie cred.

Just so we're clear, selling out for power, women, illicit drugs or an island fortress in the Mediterranean is okay?

No. That's still selling out, but they would still be considered 'indie.' Although I might add power.

Great list, I need to reconsider adding Cosmogramma to mine.

I think Davey Crockett is the best on the album, probably my #2 of the year, #1 going to Dance Yrself Clean by LCD Soundsystem.

Off the tope of my head, here are 8 albums in no order:

Menomena = Mines
Trentemøller = Into the Great Wide Yonder
Crystal Fighters = Star of Love
Nedry = Condors
65daysofstatic = We Were Exploding Anyway
HEALTH = Health::Disco2
Flying Lotus = Cosmogramma
Liars = Sisterworld

I'm also looking forward to Younger Brother's album, Vaccine, that was supposed to be released this year. Maybe it still will be!
