I need some help. I've been using Google SketchUp to create a model, and I've accidentally zoomed out too far. I can't see the model or the axises (is it axies?). All I see is the default background color. I've tried zooming in for about half an hour, but I still can't see anything. Can anyone give me help on how to fix this problem? SketchUp is a free program if you'd like to download it and see if you can help me. I'm not sure if this goes into the Tech. and Prog. board, so I'm going to post it into the Multimedia board as well.

I would like to get advice as soon as possible. Thank you for your help.

Have you tried going to "Camera" and then "Standard views" and then choose one? (not sure if it zooms to a default too)

The axes should always be visible, maybe if you go to "View" and then check "Axes"?

Yes, I've tried that, and all it does is go to the top view (or whichever one I chose), but it's still zoomed out way too far.

I've tried checking and unchecking the axes button several times, but it hasn't changed a thing.

@Tunco: thanks for the link, but it doesn't have a solution the problem that I'm dealing with.

Are you sure that...
1) you didn't accidentally just delete all your stuff?
2) that you actually aren't zoomed in way too far?

I am sure that I didn't delete the stuff, and I'm sure that I'm not zoomed in way too far, because I've opened up a new SketcchUp, created a random shape, and zoomed way out, and the exact same thing happened.

Maybe there is a bug that when you zoom out too much, you lose your work.

That shouldn't be what it is, because I can't see the axes, and when I try to rotate the camera to find if I can see anything, it's a wonky sort of rotating. The only solution that I can think of right now would just be to open a new SketchUp, and remake what I was building.

Maybe the wonky sort of rotating is due to the Field of View... just a guess.

Umm, I just did what presumably you did, that was zooming out waaay too far (the axes disappear, yes)

I've done many things, like the stuff you did, but zoom extents fixed me. Zoom extents puts your model like... maximized at full, so it fits your window. It worked quite well with me. The only thing that went wrong at first was that I firstly, in my attempts of correcting your problem, clicked the "Top" view. As the model I have has no depth at all, all I saw was a black line xD.

Meh, hope it helps, because if it doesn't, your file must have an error.

Actually Donfuy, I didn't see your last post, because it must've been posted as I was replying to tunco's post. And the guy who helped me told me to do the same thing that you did Donfuy, I just didn't see it. And, luckily enough, it worked. I just wish that I saw your post Donfuy before I replied.
