Ok
speed would be 35%
Secruity would be 45%
add-ons would be 30%
Firefox is really the only one that makes it decent in all those, everything else is lagging behind somewhere.

Everyone else is lagging behind in the same area: addons.

Would this be a good time to mention my Firefox extension that makes it rain on 'dem hoes? I mean, extensibility is what it's all about, and I think it's there that the Linkin Park spinoffs are inherently inferior to the Netscape-based options.

Hm, in retrospect, I'm kicking myself for not realizing that jinxed gave a list of criteria for 110% of a browser.

Haha. I no longer have any faith in the Internet.

The best browser is automobiles.

So, I'm doing tests again, now with more browsers and even more tabs. And with screenshots!
BROWSER TESTING v2: PART 1
RAM MEASUREMENTS: 70 empty tabs

Mozilla Firefox 3
77 484
Image

Internet Explorer 8
138 520
Image

Google Chrome 3
79 996
Image

Opera 10
78 780
Image

Safari 4
103 552
Image

Netscape Navigator 9
25 352
Image

Arora
21 252
Image

Songbird
96 440
Image

Avant
15 292
Image

SeaMonkey
17 702
Image

Flock
47 112
Image

AOL 9.5
64 052
Image

Conclusion:
I have to say Avant is definitely the best at handling tabs, out of the box, both in speed and easiness of managing a lot of tabs.
The loser here is definitely Internet Explorer 8, that while the Quick Tab function is actually a great thing on tab management, it's slow as hell and it almost crashed several times (became unresponsive).

I want to note that both Netscape and Chrome, after a number of tabs, depending on your screen size, makes the new tabs almost invisible and not usable, the only way of reaching them is ctrl+tab. Also, if you have 50 tabs opened, you'll have a hard job in wanting to go to a determinate tab.

Next, on
BROWSER TESTING V2

PART 2:
70 tabs filled with 10 different sites.
Also, if you want another browser tested, lemme know.

Oh, hey, I've been using Minefield since the b5pre (or 4, don't remember), and it's amazing how fast is has become in the last version (b9pre). I remember that when I first used Minefield it was actually slower at starting up than the stable Firefox. After all the updates from then until now, many UI changes have been made (it was fun to see the loading page indicator being changed all the time - they couldn't figure what would be the best way to do it, and now there's none*), and I just opened Minefield in less than 5 seconds, with my last session with 9 tabs being restored really quickly. It's still not as fast as Chrome, which opens in 2 seconds, and juuust a little bit slower than Opera, which loaded in ~4 seconds. In the middle of Chrome and Opera there's also Internet Explorer 9, but when actually using it I've noticed it's slower.

So yeah, I'm loving what the Firefox team is doing.

What browser do you use?
Chrome
What do you think it's missing on your browser, that you see on other browsers?
I like Opera as a browser, as it has cool features such as a built in torrenter and other cool bits.
What do you think it's missing on your browser, that not even other browsers have?
Some form of mega-cache which stores every page you visit. Probably not a great idea anyway. :\
Are you happy with your browser's fastness?
Very.
How many tabs do you usually have open?
Well, when I open chrome Facebook and the Forums come up. I then open all my FB notifications as a new tab, as well as all the individual forums I frequent, followed by all the new posts in forums. So usually about 10-15. After reading everything new, I usually cut back to about 2.
