I figure you guys know what you're talking about when it comes to hardware, so I ask you this:
Which is better?
An Intel Core i5 (2.53Ghz) or
an Intel Core 2 Duo (2.8Ghz)?
That's probably a stupid question.
Furthermore, Which is better?
A Nvidia GeForce GT 330M with 256MB,
or a Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT (combo'd with a GeForce 9400M with 256MB DDR3 SDRAM)
(I'm trying to decide between two Macbook Pros here)

This combo would easily trump the following, right?smartalco wrote:i5 + 330M
Core 2 Duo 2.6Ghz with a GeForce 8600M GT (our current "family" laptop)
I should add that I'm mainly concerned with gaming performance.

Yes,
i5 >> any Core 2
and to my memory (which I'm fairly certain on all of these, and 100% positive that a 330M will trounce an 8600M)
330M > 9600GT >> 320M >> 9400M ~ 8600M
