I'm thinking of reading Mein Kampf but would like to find out if it it's just Hitler ranting about the Jews being bad or not. Was wondering if any of you knew.

Well, I read about a fifth of Gravity's Rainbow. Parts of it were fun and the rest was vomit-inducing.

Vomiting ellipses, I imagine.

Tonight I succeeded in re-reading Fahrenheit 451. This book isn't for the many of you; It's merely a tale of a man's psychological patterns and concepts of reality being broken. It's brought upon you by Ray Bradsbury in clear detail,- there is much to be read into this novel. The breaking point in the story, the murder, nearly throws the main character out of his mind. He began thinking about knowledge and history; none of which had been thought of before, with the exception of many years ago. The end was brilliant. So much going on; yet so little. I found myself smiling (along with blurred vision; my eyes were tearing up a bit) from some of the last sentences. It's pure beauty.

So, I picked this up at a book sale recently. Not sure if I'll ever actually read it (it's 600+ pages, small print), but I like having it around.

Would you even believe me if I told you it was better? Easily. Different style of book, though.

Wanna see the movie.

Going through Ulysses for my Modern Literature class. We're reading it periodically throughout the semester while we peruse through other modernist American and British work. So far we've also read The Picture of Dorian Gray, Room with a View, and The Good Soldier, all of which were great reads. Ulysses, as frustrating as it may be, is pretty fantastic. Notable plot-points include Leopold Bloom taking a shit.

I read The Fault In Our Stars a few weeks ago and Looking For Alaska last night. Both worth reading.
