Is it just me who doesn't like this film? I am having a hard time trying to find someone who has anything bad to say about it. I can sit and listen to my own opinions on the movie (for example, how it was very sloppily handled in terms of events in the plot, a lack of the "Basterds" doing much at all, too much character development in some cases and not enough in others, and so on) forever, but I would like some feedback from you guys. I just can't seem to get why people like this movie so much.

I enjoyed it.

Go to the IMDb message board for the film, there's plenty of hate for it there.

A beautiful classic, a triumph, Tarantino's best work, genius in its plotting, awesome in it's subject, lenient in every way it needed to be. Popcorn film for the literatti.

I fucking loved this movie.

Yeah it was a great movie. The only reason how I could see you hating it is for maybe too many head slicings.

I didn't say that I hated it. I just didn't like most of the things that the movie was doing. I am very curious as to why people like it as well, because I genuinely cannot understand why they think it stands up to other Tarantino films.

I very much enjoyed the movie, but believe Tarantino has done better.

I liked it, particularly the performance by Christoph Waltz. I was disappointed in a sense because I came in to the film thinking this was spaghetti western in Europe, and it wasn't! I would have liked to see the basterds do more. The ending was really well done I thought, the best part. That being said, I liked the movie, but thought Tarantino had done much better.

IB did exactly what it was supposed to. I mean, we knew up front what kinda movie it was gonna be, and most of us weren't disappointed. Plus there was some character building and whatnot.

I enjoy the movie, it was not bad at all. Tarantino has done better though.

I loved the movie, and I love all of Quentin Tarentino's movies, but I don't think it was his best work.
