I know that I am a notorious(wait, probably not so) thread starter, so I have probably started a thread like this one before, but anyway...
Has anyone here read anything by Terry Brooks? Even if you haven't have you ever heard of him, like or hate him, etc.

I'ma hazard a guess from junior high that he's the Shannara guy? I remember writing a somewhat successful paper on the many ways he plagiarized LotR back in seventh grade.

I read some of the Shannara books when I was in elementary school, and they had some epic moments. Obviously the only guarantee there is that you might like it if you think the same way I did when I was 10. I haven't given them a re-reading since, so that's as accurate as I get, I'm afraid.

I have read every single book written by him. His books are quite good, they are not the best i have read (Steven Erikson), but they are definitely entertaining.
