Um, actually the chimneying speed is limited here, due to the mines. Tried it a few times, and now I'm just behind him on the hs board...
Edit: Ahead now. I realise my route is slightly different, but you see what I mean.

Nevertheless, there is proof of other maps with longer chimneys showing this 'cheat'.

Nope we don't know, but I was just pointing out how both of them steal maps from NUMA. Also one of them is cheating and the other one is plagiarizing my name. Wow what a couple haha. Btw thats cool M4x, where are you from exactly?

Efectivamente, ese también es plagiado, concretamente es el 178-0 de NReality, lo he reconocido al instante (le he respondido con un mapa). Es de Kablizzy el original creo.
---
That last map from cris is also plagiarized, this time from the NReality core levels; in particular: 178-0, whose original author is Kablizzy I think.

Yeah the speed there certainly isn't near the speed he reaches in the levels I pointed out in my previous comment, check those out dan they are in the previous page, you'll see what I mean, I posted a list with about 10 chimneying maps in which he achieves perfection, and are almost surely cheated, they seem fucking Raif's MBD's hah.

It is very suspicious behavior. Espectially the new maps he's been uploading: http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=19731 which is pretty old and already on here multiple times. Havana (Habana), cuba.

Yeah, I see what you mean :P
Incidentally (and slightly off topic here) on the level (http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=14894 - Worthiness by M4xwell), when coming out of the third chimney, you can land directly on the platform of the second chimney. Faster, I believe...

Edit: Never mind, it is for sure :)

Eddy did you see me write this on userlevels thread:

Ehm Im confused about the matO guy -because the real Rikaninja said in a map that Eddysgotmygoat is ''his friend''. And eddysgotmygoat said replying to me ''duh Eddymatogallos is the other dude james_s'' -i.e matO is Rikaninja.

And all the fake Eddys play at the same level as Rikanninja, so it could just all be him. It doesn't seem too likely that Rikaninja and his ''friend'' both know Suzz. I guess because Rikaninja isn't an ace player there's not point for him to get his real name into the highscores. I just would've thought that Rikaninja is cooler than that -cause even if matO was actually amusing, its surely annoying by now AND he's seen that the real Slim Eddy dislikes it...

Maybe Rikaninja isn't the Rikaninja of NUMA maps and Suzz isn't
N_625 of NUMA maps

-Because I'm pretty surprised that they're both pretty slow runners

We can find out by simply asking those numa mappers if they play N2

ps. NICE ONE T26 (!) for finding out about cris56700 's maps -I posted it on that N game youtube account for others (cris56700 subscribed)

EddyMatOgallos = cris56700
Even though they both plagiarized from NUMA original maps there is no way cris56700 is EddyMatOgallos.
cris56700 plays much better...

There is also a very slim chance that cris56700 played chimney levels by himself with no cheat at all.
Of course it can't be done with just 1 key. But it seems possible with two "Shift".

I've just tried it and achieved significantly better score on such races. I wish i figured out this earlier.
"Shift" seems to be the best jump key in N game, though it looks like i wont change jump button. I got used to Z.

BTW Those chimney levels are so stupid. They can be cheated sooo easily...

He's got a point there. I used shift to check, and my score was near to cris's (6299, although it told me i was lagging too much).

Oh cool, I'm from Spain. Its cool to have more hispanics here, before Nv2.0 I believe it was just me and zoasBE (which is spanish as well). Yeah exactly, stealing a map thats already on the NReality core levels is just... too shameless? xD
Btw I saw the tribute, thanks bro :D

Oh yeah I saw it, I was thinking on a reply. I'm not sure if we can assume "the other guy" is rikaninja. I think that maybe he was talking about "MatO is not the original Eddy, he is the other one, he is the other dude". Or maybe not, I don't know, there's too much mess there to deduct properly haha.
James_S wrote:We can find out by simply asking those numa mappers if they play N2
Well yeah we could ask them, unless they are actually taking part in the action here and hence they won't tell the truth.

Yeah I know, they play pretty diferently, so they could be different people, though that doens't really matter much.

The fact is that, even though achieving perfect chimneys realtime is technically possible, and has been done previously in fact by Kool-Aid, its very unlikely that cris is doing that in dozens of levels. And he even does that in levels that are not only a single chimney, but that have a chimney in the middle of other things, and thats even harder because you ahve no preparation for the chimney.

Even if you double-shift, its still pretty hard to accomplish perfect chimneys.

This is why I don't belong in this thread. (Me = Mapper > Rager > Artist > HIGHSCORER). Also, good job Inev. for coming on the forums :3

Lol nope I don't use it :P And I think many more users don't use it. Still, the only place you can use double-shifting is on levels which consist on a single chimney, bcause you can have both hands free to press the shift keys. If the chimney is in the middle of a run, then its pretty hard to switch hands and use them both to press the shift keys, AND make it worthwhile. And cris has done that...

I meant that the maps published by both players are similar, but Eddy explained everything to us.

Change hands....the right hand is usually more fast so you can press the jump key more quickly. (one chimney) ;)

Thats indeed pretty close, but its really unlikely to do that perfectly and on loads of maps. Doing it a single time perfect is already really hard, even if you are double-shifting, because it either requires coordination or luck with your key presses. Take into account that doing a perfect chimney in N v2.0 requires you to jnnjnnjnnj... which means jump for a frame, wait 2, jump for a frame, wait 2, etc. Any mistake fucks that up.

So even double-shifting, achieving a perfect chimney is really, really hard (or else 121027 in NReality would be full of 89.200 scores). Now, thats just a single time, he's done it in dozens of maps. And now, apart from that, double-shifting comes in handy when the level is just a chimney, or something like that, but it doesn't really help that much on levels that have little chimneys on the middle of the run apart from many other things, I mean, and normal level with some little chimneys around there, which is pretty common, because you don't have time to prepare, to switch hands and double-shift, and then to put your hands back and keep playing the level.

There are many possiblities they are cheated. But as I said, if he manages to do more perfect chimneys on NReality then we'll know he is legit and we will believe him, thats all he has to do. And he clearly has NReality because he has plagiarized a level from there...

Some players like Danielr and Raggedlove use the up button to jump -they're crazy like that :P
Innevitability, I used to use the z button as well (I use the finger between my little finger and my middle finger -i.e the same finger u use to go forward/right) but switched to using the left shift button so that on some tiresome maps I can press the jump button with two fingers instead of just one (e.g I use the little finger to help)

I've never used double shifting... also use my left hand... so my chimneying is awful... I always wondered how people get those perfect chimneys... I tried out double shifting a while but it only sometimes helped me... even on just chimney levels... I'm just not that accurate with my key presses...

I have an easier time beleiving that cris is cheating rather than believe he's that good... he would need inhuman skills... and he would also be getting 0ths much more often if he could really respond in 2 frames...

While reading this thread, I have found out that I have arrows under right shift on my keyboard, so I can press it with my middle finger. So I'm now trying to use double shifting for some hard jumps in more complicated maps. Interesting. I've always used another key than shift, because shift is too big button so it makes your reaction slower. Buttons also get "older" and start to work badly after some time and it is good to change them often for best results.
