Hi all and welcome!
Nominate maps from any date -not necessarily your favorites, but just ones you would like to share -(especially as some maps might be mentioned many times already). And you can also use this thread to talk about anything to do with the user levels e.g replies, runs.
As you can see, this is different to nominating maps for like an award and having a proper counting system. The five stars rating system in the game does its job of nominating preferred maps already, but as its pretty limited, here's where you can casually say whatever you like.

Guidelines:
-Preferably nominate at least 3 maps per post to make better viewing

-Include the link to the map as well as the map and author name -to make viewing easier and so people could play them in standalone player

- Avoid plugging your own maps too much of course

Interesting:
Blood knifes http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=5168 by Gigitoh -gameplay is lacking, with a few tweeks forcing you to run and wall jump on those small tiles (quite fun), it could be great I think
Wooo http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=6324 by Zzzendwl -u can go quite a lot faster than me on that
Magic mountain http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=2713 by Randombattery
Bouncies http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=2428 by Spencer
Borkondo http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=6311 by Fujita Seiko Pretty astonishing I think, I know there's a japanese art style which is just like that

Hard:
Kill Boss <<<fly boss>>> http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=6823 by Herbert luan

Give up. http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=5686 by Mathy -jcmr1987's run to get 0th was pretty amusing, but there's even a faster route except i dunno a rocket managed to follow me to very top both times n killed me
4 circles http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=6902 by Herbert luan

Han'i-gai http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=11233 by Fujita Seiko
Crazy spears improved http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=7680 by James_S -not hard but hard if u do it in the fastest way
With hope in your hands http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=1086 by Sunset like wtf-hard I think :p

Hard simple:
Reign of terror http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=583 by Thrasher26
Gold diver http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=11399 by Jp_Joao -because it bugs me, isnt it possible to land on the slope between the mines and then get all the gold??
Impossible http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=2132 by Oneman Ninja -who would've thought that u could do such a good run!?

Fun:
Ride the lightning http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=4932 by Phurix -it was actually thundering when I first played it :)
Toranporin sankakkei http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=8270 by Fujita Seiko
Escape to the void http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=468 by Thrasher26
Kaleidoscope http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=8665 by Dongle
Atarashi sokudo http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=9360 by Fujito Seiko

Im glad there's been a few motherlode remakes (1st ap of n1.4) -just type in motherlode and also 'mirrored nostalgia' and 'first lvl cover'.
try Fujita's new: Noboru made 3 serious fun and then there's Eddy showing the proper way to do it.
I published another map to advertise this topic, I had it pretty much ready a while ago but it was annoying me in testing, so I took the aerial off one of the drones and spoilt it I think

-This is not a proper nomination hence u can mention maps like this whenever

N-Arts:
The Legend of Zelda http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=9149 by douglasthompson. Nostalgic feel towards my earlier days and a fantastic triforce.
SR-IV http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=9239 by TwinEdged. Although I didn't enjoy the game too well, this was a really cool (and difficult) icon to make.
Tribute to J.R.R. Tolkien http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=1440 by heirofblack. I am NOT going by order here. I love his work and I think that this was a marvelous tribute to him. Also loved that it wasn't an 'easy' win (such as NO enemies except height).
Jurassic Park http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=4013 by Dragonpower9000. No comment but this: this is near-perfection in all ways. It's difficult, it's fun, and it's a great tribute.
Those Eyes http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=11168 by M4xwell. Odd to choose this one, but the main reason is because I love anime and this reminds me of the multiple of shows I watch.

oh well another post by me: I'm a big fan of falling thwumps challenges, there hasn't been many I don't think, most of them probs by me.. so I was pretty excited to see Fujita Seiko made a good one http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=13736 Josei ningyo . But when you play it, not only those bounceblocks placed on top of each other are unpredictable (lag affected I guess) but the seekers also. -quite often u try the same move and sometimes the seeker gets u sometimes it doesn't. Turns out super hard to get all the gold

Btw have you guys seen slingshot boosters yet? http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=8060 map called super boost

UPDATE: I made a remake of that above mention map with the thwumps to tweak the gameplay called v.2! Fujita's Josei ningyo

lol with the discreet gold penis Hi, I was surprised you managed to do the first bit without waiting (extra jump up). geee how many risks did u take on that run heh, altho when I started playing I thought it was gonna be one of those crazy crazy maps but once u realise to lure the seekers out from the side by just slowing the fall -its not a hard map

there's a new map by leider with a sort of sofa -but the map doesn't really work.

oh and I saw a map on numa maps where someone made a tiny toilet with a few jump pads

I'd love to share there some maps I like. Play, enjoy, rate.

Sengoku 03 by Fujita Seiko: www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=4043
This one is older, but I really love it. I still work on all gold run sometimes, but it is really hard.

Snaffer 004 by Snaffer: www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=3870
My inspiration for Control the Machine (1, 2). Perfect idea. Snaffer is inactive these days.

Some pipe challenge v.2 by James_S: www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=12257
Really like this one.

Kabuki 15 by Fujita Seiko: www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=5974
One of my total favourites. Also older one. Fujita is very productive, I could propably post there all of his last maps, awesome work.

Principality IV by M4xwell: www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=14005
I love races and M4xwell's ones are truly perfect.

Hoo-Rah by IodineEnvy: www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=1789
Active mapper in v1.4, influence is obvious :). Really love this one as much as his other v2.0 maps.

Commander by Dongle: www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=13111
Solution of the first step is mindblowing :).

Gold Hunt by panstromek: www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=14082
My last map. Just wanted to share, I'm really proud of it. One of my best, I believe .

Don't know if it's been mentioned or discovered before (because I've been away for ages) but the thwump usage in www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=10794 is actually fantastic. Being able to trap a thwump behind a door is a very cool glitch/technique. I look forward to seeing a level integrating this well!

Yeah, I played one awesome level with multiple use of this, but I don't remember author or name :(. Mabye from Fujita....? In the end you needed to "catch" thwump into box of doors.

This one is truly perfect example of ideal level. It can be my first at my top list. Check out his other levels, too (Mapper from v1.4, he has about 250 maps at NUMA http://www.nmaps.net/user/Losttortuga )

It definitely looks good! I'll have to give it a try tonight after work. I've really been enjoying the "race" style levels.

I'm really starting to enjoy Inspired's N Arts levels (major prop that he is using tiles and not gold/mines too). It's fantastic to know people still do N-Arts and make them too!!

Haha, it seems odd to see Losty referred to as being an ancient mapper with maps that can be dredged up to enjoy for 1.4.

I like that N2.0 is still in its preliminary stages, my tilesets are just 1.4 sets I made years ago and decided to chuck onto 2.0. On NUMA these kind of maps are generally considered pretty poor given a lack of gameplay, the only thing that really gives them anything extra is the novelty of how it looks. I do hope over time novelty is surpassed by gameplay as the thing people look for in 2.0 maps. I feel we'll have to wait for the level editing play-test function to be reimplemented first though.

I shall keep submitting old pieces to break up the generally horribly looking maps that come up on recent, haha.

That's what I do, hah. But my N-Art creations take a lot longer and most of them were deleted years ago (only have a picture of final product), thus why I don't post them as much anymore. Race levels are fun, but making Art is work and when it's done, you are fully content.

So what do you think when people play and complete your art maps? Is that something only noobs do? I noticed there's not very many good players filling up the high scores. In fact last night I surprised myself by getting 1st on your DooM map. I did OK but know I could do better. It's actually a decent level to play :) Also I completed Artoveux which I only figured out because I watched the other replays. I was like "where do you start from ??" It is so weird, but if you hold right and press the jump button repeatedly at the beginning, sometimes you can jump straight up to the top instead of falling down

I think of no one as a noob, firsthand. Also, my maps are relatively easy due to the fact that I make them easy (they are mainly there to show the artwork). It's really a first-come, first-serve basis: it all depends on when you go on and if you did it first (usually the 'well-known' players are on later-times than most, thus when I post the easy art, everyone goes to it first and they don't make the 'cut.')

Mighty thanks for playing my levels, I love it when they play them, anybody. It's a good feeling knowing someone took time to play it and complete it other-than raging out or disregarding it.

Organic io Hi, Maxwell made a remake of that with the ninja positioned normally.. I don't know if its just me but on that map grey really stands out as ''grey'' because the red and yellows are also diluted (spaces between mines+gold). I was thinking maybe Maxwell you could've used a black border (made of sliding gates) to give more contrast. Pretty cool map, I love the angles a lot.

-Maxwell, your cool sail ship n art would've made for ''great gameplay'' but it doesn't work properly -I was waiting eagerly for a remake..

Well I've been going through the massive list of levels you've made. I'm about halfway through so far and I really enjoy quite a few of them. "Oh the places you'll go" was one of my favorites last week soon after I discovered N v2 :) Really cool Dr Seuss style theme, and fun to play as well

Oh also !!!

Here's my nomination to the thread
M4xwell - Principality VII
http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=14327

Probably the coolest level I have EVER played (and I been playing N+ since 2008 if that counts for anything), such a fantastic sense of flow. Now to beat it... :) :) :)
