THUNDER I thought you were Australian, because of the Australia map you made. I remember your big gold ninjas, they were awesome. Whats your favourite map of yours/ which ones you like? Feels like Metanet software anticipated there would be a million 'simple challenges' with mines and bounceblocks and hence saw no need for a 'random search' function like on NUMA -where its actually quite useful as very often good maps come up quickly

Hi

I have been to Australia many times and I was looking at a picture of when I went there and then I decided I would make a map of Australia.

Shukonkansokogun by Fujita Seiko.

I like maps by people like: cooperverdon , Fujita Seiko and lusprs.
There are other mapmakers I like but I can't think of them at the moment.

james_S and all other players,

In the beginning I made my first profile Snakehead, which I still use sometimes.

Then I made the profile Cobra. Which if you remember james_S there was a mis-understanding between you, me and Fish. As of that incident I stopped using Cobra and created the user STORM.

The cobra profile, I didn't delete as one of my friends has taken over the account.

I used STORM until, for some reason it wouldn't let me save any maps from the editor stage. it just said "save failed will retry later" so I tried for a while to fix the account but with no success.
Then I created the user THUNDER which I use now.

Oh yeah, I remember that incident. Was it over that one knight level?

So anyway, you might have seen some of my levels (some of which were way too over-the-top/long-winded/weren't actually possible). I actually joined the forum this summer, but I just started NReality and NUMA. I'm publishing on both NUMA and v2.0 now.

Right now, http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=52440 intrigues me. I'm not sure how that one works.

But I am certainly looking forward to that Drone Factory one.

EDIT: Also, what happened to M4xwell anyway?
EDIT2: Never mind, found out. Kinda disappointed.

I did wonder about Snakehead. You cracked me up with this map http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=19612 I remember telling you to stop the overly easy simple maps, u got a lot better since then. I think that incident was mostly bad luck (and to be fair to Fish, that was like his biggest best map). Snakehead was a nice name though, its a shame


Welcome Arandombattery :D you have some serious maps. Some of your older ones are pretty hard though with all the gold and mines. They say here that mines are the ones that kill (ninjas) most out of all threats

By the way, who is this Alcatrazz guy that's taking a bunch of NUMA maps and N v1.4 user levels?

My recent level 00-2 (originally called "shining path" but changed because of issues related to the "zapatista" level on N+ -- that was changed to "zap happy"):

Unlike Author Title, this guy doesn't even give credit to the original mapmakers. Even in the old days when I recreated v1.4 episode levels for play on v2.0, I still included "(By Metanet)" in front of each title.

Also, Yoke300's recent map (http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=52775) reminded me of a level that I've been meaning to keep unpublished because of the episodic style of my newer levels (http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=51425). I like it.

@James_S: I remember that you commented about converting some v2.0 maps to v1.4 format. I never actually saved the code for them, but I am recreating two maps for this episodic series (California Uber Alles and Something Bigger, Something Brighter [remake]). I might remake The Magic Mountain for a later Column, though.

lollllll that old Magic mountain :) . About yours and yoke300's maps, it was Spartax18's recent dda that had that gold paths idea first, so I'm not surprised to see new maps that use it (maybe even subconsciously remembering it heh). I messaged you how to obtain published map data


I seem to have noticed that there's a greater chance of a saving delay bug or the like, if you leave a map in editor a long time. I recommend you copy the code into a brand new map and delete the old one.

I have the code saved in my v2.0 editor and in separate text files, since I make them using v1.4, then transfer them to v2.0.

So has anyone checked out levels by this guy named No_one?

hm why use n1.4 editor? (nvm doesn't matter). (Anyhow, you know that you get obtain the map data of any map ever published in n game2)

Yea thejumper likes No_one heh. You know what, I only thought recently to look up my hero from n1.4 user levels- Maximo on Numa. On his page it says 'the march towards obscurity' hmm. Made me think of No_one (who can also do great metanet style maps)

-I cant really see how you can improve Magic Mountain http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=2713 Except I thought the inside bit looks too much like a stomach, but it was good gameplay trying to not miss the golds.

Arandombattery, I like this www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=51290 but I thought it was too hard not to make a mistake, so I think it'd be better if it had one less bar (not just going the whole way across the game)

EDIT: ugh I hate being subconsciously influenced, I just noticed near my post count it now says 'damn you're fine' -I didn't notice it when I chose to say 'damn so awesome

That map has a nice difficulty when you're just trying to complete it, but AGD is really hard.
