Hey there,

I just wanted to clear up the list on the other thread because TribulatioN isn't active anymore and I think thread looks really messy overall. The other list hasn't been updated since 10 Jan (2010), this thread includes some minor (and major!) updates.

It includes updated list of programs, names, groups / sub-communities, tricks, and link to the maps and programs.

I will continue to update this link whenever I find a new abbreviation or someone posts one.

-----

Full credit to the people who posted the acronyms and abbreviations on the other thread and TribulatioN, who actually copied and pasted the ones at the old forum. Kudos to you all.

Now I'm just going to quote TribulatioN for the explanation.
TribulatioN wrote:There are many acronyms on the NUMA website that not all players understand. This topic is made to explain them. The acronyms found here are only the ones related to NUMA, of course.

Anyone who…
…finds an acronym they don't know the meaning of should post it here and wait for an explanation.
…finds an acronym which hasn't already been posted here should post it here.
…wants to use an acronym for something can check this topic and look if there is an acronym that fits.
…wants to make their own acronym should check this topic if there already is a similar one (we don't want thousands of unknown acronyms do we?).
…wants to make their own acronym can post it here.
Acronyms!
They are sorted by group, then alphabetically ordered.

TRO - TheRealOne (me)

As for the tricks

CWJ - Corner Wall Jump (No one really says CC for corner chimney, that is just a CWJ in a chimney senario.)
CS - Corner Shove
BWJ - Backwards Wall Jump (When done on tiles there is no prefix.)
BBCD(T) - Bounce Block Corner Double (Triple)
PJ - Perpendicular Jump (No one says PL.)
LJ - Low Jump
LHNJs - isnt really an acronym for anything it is a series of commands said in frames.

Break down of frame acronyms:
L - Left
R - Right
N/0 - Nothing
J - Jump
H - Hold
Then these can be combined in to a series of frames.
<@Izzy> Holy balls, sweet run.
<@gloomp> Holy sweet, balls run.
<@Izzy> Sweet, balls run holy.
<@gloomp> Run sweet, balls holy.
<@Izzy> Sweet run, ballsy hole.
<@gloomp> All's sweet, holeb run.
<@Izzy> Ballsy nun, sweet mole.

Edit: It's Friday, and I edited it, now it includes all the possible abbreviations, I guess.

I've started using "SGD" for some-gold demo. "Completion" just gives the vibe that I merely tried to complete it, rather than picking up all the gold I reasonably can.

Why aren't "hs" and "sr" here?
And you should sooooo list "shoftee" just to annoy TS.

You've listed GamingWolf twice.

I am in a big dilemma whether I should request for my pet name or not, 'coz though I am an old speed-runner still I am new in these forums. :-/
Anyways, my pet name would simply be "M_G" (without quotes), the name by which I am called on NUMA. :D
