Come on, you jackasses, draw something I want to read, not just your name a hundred million times.In the mountains of truth you will never climb in vain: either you will get up higher today or you will exercise your strength so as to be able to get up higher tomorrow.
Why isn't there any profound graffiti?

My personal favorite is, "Heisenberg was near here"

There's a sign in a men's restroom in a restaurant in my town;
"If you are a pregnant woman, please consult your doctor before consuming alcohol."
Below that, scribbled in marker;
"Also, you're in the wrong bathroom."
not perfectly related, but makes me laugh.

OneSevenNine: I was in a toilet cubicle and read on the back of the door "To play toilet tennis, look left." You look left and it reads "Look right." You look right and it reads "Look left." Made me chuckle

I think I would start to try graffiti, if I lived in a place with a little more buildings and a little less deer :/.

Not quite profound, but in one of the stalls at my former dorm, someone had taken the time to engrave a perfect Spiderman logo with a full web behind it and wrote 'The Amazing Spiderman' in something resembling Verdana Bold font. In the same stall was a poem that read "Here I sit, broken hearted, came to shit, and only farted". Also not quite profound.
That entire stall was actually filled with amusing carvings (who the fuck sits on a toilet with a knife?). Those were just the biggest.

Actually, if the stall is made out of that cheap plastic stuff, a fountain pen would work. Granted, not many people carry fountain pens in their pockets, but still. You could also try a regular ballpoint pen, but that'd just take too damned long.smartalco wrote:(who the fuck sits on a toilet with a knife?).

Ever been to Austin, scythe? Off the top of my head I can think of fifteen or so awesome and beautiful examples of graffiti art. There's even one in memoriam of a teenager killed by a drunk driver, in plain sight on one of the busiest streets in the city -- no one's wiped it after fifteen years.

There was a bridge in the lake district which had "life is beautiful" graffiti'd on it, which I thought was pretty lovely, but it got painted over presumably by the council. : (
Also, me and a friend found this on our university campus, but that got sprayed off by the university too. It was a pity really, because it was on a run down piece of brick work that was in the middle of a field that no one even used.

I checked out some of the graffiti at Abbey Road studios today. Bit disappointing, really. Almost all of it was just people's names and often-quoted Beatles lyrics. A few bits that made me stop and stare:
- "Music frees your soul, touches your heart, and opens your mind."
- "SAVE THE GAY WHALES FOR JESUS" (what?)
- "I <3 THE ANGRY BUS DRIVERS HONKING AT TOURISTS CROSSING ABBEY ROAD"
- "BAN BEANS GIVE PEAS A CHANCE"
- "PORN SAVED MY LIFE!" (in absolutely enormous writing)
- "Beatles suck" (crossed out in a different pen from what it was written in)
- "OH SORRY, I SHARTED" (there just had to be one of those somewhere)
- "I Went 4 a rave and lost my bottle! Cunter!" (someone had crossed out "my" and written "OUR.")
- " "Meow" "
