My right trigger wont push in far enough to be able to select an entity, it would be nice if it could be toggle instead of hold. But my left trigger goes in far enough to select a tile, because of this I also cant favorite levels.

Is your controller broken? Because it shouldn't be a problem pushing in the trigger all the way brings it up. Could be a glitch specific to you but sounds like a weird one if so.

Edit: Well I got on and the same problem is happening to me as well. R2 doesn't work right anymore. Must be something that happens after awhile and will need to be fixed asap.

My right trigger works perfectly fine in other games.

Yea like I said in the edit it's happening to me now too. We'll just have to wait for a patch, hopefully sometime soon.

This is also happening with me, the menu trigger doesn't seem to be sensitive enough. Sometimes you have to hold down full throttle to select. I would much rather a toggle for entities.

It's your controllers and a common issue due to a flaw in the DualShock 4 design. When you press a trigger, a sharp bit of plastic presses down against a silicon nub and with enough use, eventually cuts into it. This prevents your trigger from registering the full 0-100 movement as it only goes travels about 90% of the way.

Most games don't require the triggers to be pressed 100% to register an input, so you can go a long time without noticing.

Short-term solution: The game is updated to register full input at around 80% or so.
Mid-term solution: We all spend $2 for a new silicon nub on eBay and replace the faulty part.
Ideal solution: Sony updates the controller design, gives us free hardware and I win the lottery.

I figured out what was causing it for me. The tiny spring inside that causes tension when pressing in the R2 button had bent. I simply took the controller apart reshaped the spring with plyers and then it works perfectly again. I had been having problems with Trials Fusion as well where I never seemed to have full power when pressing on the gas. Well now it's fixed and only took about 10 mins.

Sounds like there's hope for me yet. I had the issue I mentioned with a previous controller but maybe it's just the spring on this one. Like you, my Pit Viper seems suspiciously underpowered. Fingers crossed for an easy fix.

If for some reason the spring doesn't work you can try it without the spring as well. It's got a lot less resistance to push in but apparently it works fine without one. Havent tried it personally though but if the problem returns I'm going to try it.

Sorry about this, we're going to increase the deadzone so that this is less of an issue!
