QFE'd. If you beat Cave Story, you're amazing. I was expecting CS to get it into the semifinals, at least.

C'mon guys, Cave Story wasn't too hard until Hell. And after a few days, you get the hang of it and Ballos.

We can either win the whole thing or lose, so be prepared.

I logged on around 2:00 [edit for time-zonitude: four hours ago] and it was definitely 55-45, our favor. four hours later it's 51-49, barely our favor. What the heck? either they mobilized a big community that didn't know about it until now or shenanigans are happen.

Haven't we been through this before with the voting scandals? I leave for a while and now there's another scandal over up-voting and using different browsers and shit? Back in the day, we just straight-up *won*. Have some faith in the brand, people. What the *fuck* happened to my community? I'm disappointed in every last one of you. I mean, the NUMA scandals were one thing, but this? Could've sworn we were better than this... Or maybe we used to be.

So, we're closing this thread for now, and I'ma be making some reviews over the coming days, and I'm in touch with the Torchlight community and the DIYGamer community over some of the things that've happened over the past few days too; We'll see where to go from here.

Alrighty, unlocked. The dudes at DIYGamer were awesome, and voting fraud shouldn't be an issue. Then again, it shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. Now I'll take my next four-month hiatus while you fuckers 'tard it up some more. By the way, whomever used the moniker "Metanetter", you're a coward. I at least have the nads to stand up and say what I believe.

Aw we are bad bad boys how ashamed i am for voting multiple times on a thing that allowed me to. And if everyone were doing it, it was part of the system :|

Okay, maybe it wasn't the most respectable thing to do, but seeing our votes going down, knowing that there's the opportunity to fix it... it was hard to resist. Yes, I'm weak, and kinda feel sorry for it, but hey, this competition's really just for fun soooo.

You're disappointed in us? That badly? Man I think you're overreacting.

Also, you're here from times to times, and you're cool most of the times, but sometimes some of your posts seem almost like "oh look boy i left and look what happened to that place haha look at that isn't that awful | its not what it used be | its going to die"

Not trying to be a dick, all of this may be subject to change over time (I might be misunderstanding everything), and I'm not Metanetter.

Eh. It's a running joke. You guys fuck up, I run in to the rescue. It's funny. I'm a walking banhammer - It's the niche I fell into here. I'm comic relief for the community. I'm not overreacting, it's manufactured drama. Do you really think Metanet is that big of a part of my life? Well, yes, in the sense that I live with Dave and I date Ranny, and by best friend is Jiggerjaw, and I'm making a CCG with maximo and I share account passwords with SlappyMcGee. This place was my *life*, son. This place *is* my life, so even if I weren't fucking around and being entirely facetious in my disappointment of you guys, wouldn't you say I'd be justified anyway? Come on, I'm deliciously over-the-top. And even if I weren't, this was kind of a big deal. Public embarrassment on a bigger stage than just our community. I'm not gonna let people look at this place as a bunch of retard douchebags. Did any of you go to Torchlight and apologize or try to smooth things over? Sure, after I did, and for those guys, yes, amazing job, and thank you. 'Cause you guys make this place. Seldom do we come across another community with as good of a community cohesion and etiquette as we have, let alone one that might be better. And to embarrass yourselves to other gamers, who share our interests? We've always complained about the community not growing, and we could have potentially grown the community by cross-populating with some of these guys we're coming across. We've done it in the past with a ton of games and/or other sites, but I dunno.

Anyway, point being - We usually win these things without scandal or cheating, though. Sucks that some of you think that it's okay to cheat. We've been over this. Don't know where you got the idea that shit was gonna fly around here. Five years ago, every award for freeware or indie games went to Mare and Raigan, hands down, because we were it. I don't get anything out of it. But which of us retards were smart enough to cheat the voting system and then post about it? I dunno, that seems kinda... like something fuckups would do. Why, back in my day, we banned fuckups. My whole credo while I was Admin was "Hey, don't be fuckups, and people won't call you fuckups." It worked for a long time. Until, Ohh, I dunno, I left.

Ya'll read too much into my posts, though. I had to smooth things over with the Torchlight guys. There's no good way to say, "Hey! Look at me, I'm the captain of the fuckup squad over here." What do you want me to do when I see this stuff? Run over there all cross-eyed and slobbering, and go, "They just do what I tell them to do." No, no, no. That's not how I roll. I threaten you jackasses under penalty of getting the fuck out not to do this stuff. Because that's not how we do this. THIS IS NOT HOW WE METANET. Think about it. You brought it on yourselves, and now we're losing because they rallied a ton of support over us cheating. We were winning until the moment this came on. Mare and Raigan don't deserve to lose, but seeing as how our community has been halfway dormant for five years, what're we gonna do? Are we gonna sit here and whine about how I'm disappointed in you guys, or are we gonna shut the fuck up, post on NUMA, message some old-timers who don't check the forums anymore, and win this fucking competition? I'll tell you this - I know KinGAleX, krusch, Kashkin, and Dave haven't voted. I know half of NUMA hasn't voted. How many NUMA users do we have? Hundreds of thousands? Yeah, that'd win us a round in the contest. So suck it up and rock the vote!

The topic in IRC tells people to vote and there's a post in NUMA that asks all the guys to vote! We are trying. And I'm sure (and I think you too) that a gigantic percentage of all the votes that we got for weren't because of cheating. And I'm not saying "hey, we've done our part so stfu" with this. (and hey, what, you live with Dave and you dunno if he has voted? lame, laaaame | did Ranny vote already?)
