So pops linked me to this on IRC today, apparently he found it on an site called http://nik.bot.nu which is just one of those wallpaper image galleries.
Now the question I want to know is did one of you make that?

I linked it to him. That's all I know.

It's loading just fine for me. It's a wallpaper of a quote about all problems being solvable with enough missiles, attributed to Luminaflare.
No clue who posted that to 4chan, though (nik.bot.nu is just a 4chan scraper, yeah?).

I never even saw that quote until now. Definitely not me. Damn, though. Could it be a different person who happened to use your username?
EDIT: http://nik.bot.nu/view.fu?ii=479069
It's from 4chan, definitively.

Luminaflare has quite the internet presence. If someone else were using his name, he'd have run across them by now.

Wait a minute, I saw that quote just the other day. Either I was on IRC when it was linked and I'm remembering wrong, or I just came across it somewhere. Don't recall it being attributed to LF, though.

Good call. And wouldn't the submitter of that quote be the most likely of us to be responsible for the link?Spawn of Yanni wrote:http://quotes.mountai.net/view.php?759Molar-fucking thorax wrote:Wait a minute, I saw that quote just the other day. I wouldn't think so. Anyone can access the N IRC quote page. And, looking back to that site, it was submitted to 4chan around July of this year. So, it could be anyone from 2008-2010 who saw that, thought "huh, that makes for a good quote for 4chan" and posted it. I'd say, to avoid something like this from being taken out of context or being posted in the wrong place again, we put up a login page for the N IRC quote page that links to this forum (basically, you need to register here to see anything there). And by we, I of course mean the admins :PMolar-fucking thorax wrote:Good call. I don't see why this is could be seen as a bad thing. I thought it was pretty cool.mediate wrote:I wouldn't think so. Anyone can access the N IRC quote page. I don't think there realy is a wrong place for it to be posted. I mean, if someone saw something I'd said, and decided that it was funny enough to warrant being on a wallpaper, I'd be stoked. Especially if the quote was attributed, like it was in this context, I'd be stoked.

True, anyone on the internet can access the N IRC quote page. However! It's important to note that on that page the quote is attributed simply to LF, whereas the wallpaper is signed Luminaflare. Curious, my dear Watson.mediate wrote:I wouldn't think so. Anyone can access the N IRC quote page. And, looking back to that site, it was submitted to 4chan around July of this year. I suggest people question Ravenclaw... since he submitted the quote originally therefore being the likely suspect or knowing the "perpetrator" in question.

I would put all of my money on the concept that it was, in fact, Ravenclaw, but the government owns it all. ;___;
