If there's enough interest for that, we can certainly start one up again.flagmyidol wrote:The amount of awesome shit that was "almost" done around here is pretty impressive.Spawn of Yanni wrote:We almost had that going way back when, remember? Trogdor007 set it up.

Over the past two days, I've been trying to get as many mods as possible to submit a short recording for our Christmas-Cast, a tiny podcast where our moderating team wishes you a merry Christmas and happy New Year.
While I wasn't able to get anywhere near all of them to submit anything, I did manage to get Mare and Raigan to add their contribution, so I feel this download is well worth it.
mp3
Christmas-Cast: Merry Christmas from Metanet Mods, plus Mare and Raigan!
The Moderators of the Metanet Forums, combined with the awesomeness of Mare and Raigan, wish you all a happy holiday!
Featuring: Mare and Raigan, Lenny, gloomp, Donfuy, Pheidippides, Snuggletummy, Tanner, southpaw, LF, LittleViking, Spawn of Yanni, and scythe33.
Time: 03:41
Size: 3.4mb
Mare and Raigan also wanted to give you this Christmas image of them:
Once again, to subscribe via the iTunes store, just click this link.
Enjoy, and Merry Christmas once again!

Kudos to Lenny for organizing this and I loved the background song while Lenny introduced the podcast overall at the very beginning of the podcast.

Thanks guys. :D
I'm really glad that you all liked it.
Sorry that it was so rushed. I was going to wait around a bit longer to get some more people in on it, but once we got a little way into Boxing Day I figured it's best just to put it up. Next time I promise to organise all of this a few weeks in advance.

Hahaha, glad you liked it. Funkytown - Lipps Inc., if you're curious. Great song.Tunco wrote:I loved the background song while Lenny introduced the podcast

Hey everyone,
In memory of the past Have Your Say, and thanks to the enjoyment of the recent Christmas-Cast with Mare and Raigan, we'll be having another Have Your Say for this New Year's Day!
This will be open to all members who want to contribute. Doesn't matter if you're a moderator or not, you're welcome to submit something.
What to do
If you want to be a part of this, just record yourself saying whatever you'd like (preferably including your username and with reference to the new year, or the past year which we've just had). Then, send your recording to [email protected] - my address - or PM it to me.
Recording Length and File Types
Your recording must be no longer than a minute in length. This can be as extreme as you just having a 3-second "Hey from me", or as long as you reading all of Romeo And Juliet (in a minute, of course). I'll be cutting recordings if they go drastically over a minute, so ensure that yours doesn't.
The best file type would be mp3, but I don't mind if you have wav, ogg, or the vent recording file (find me on IRC if you'd like me to jump on Vent and record it for you, or you can do it yourself and then send it to me). If possible, have a 44100kHz recording - otherwise I will have to change it to this, which is slightly time-consuming.
Deadlines
Look, if you're thinking of doing this and have a spare 5 minutes, do it now. Literally pick up your microphone and press "Record". Not only it mean you won't have to worry about forgetting, it also means you'll get to be first (because, as usual, I'll be compiling the recordings in the order in which I get them).
The latest you can send in recordings is about 7am GMT, on the 31st of December. Why? Because we have a family function on the evening of the 31st, and this will be about 5pm my time; and there is no way I'm spending the morning of my new year's day compiling these things. So get it in as soon as possible, or by the 31st.
Anyway, I think that's everything. I look forward to compiling all of these, and hearing the once again hilarious recordings!
Lenny
