68 maps by gloomp. My entire solo output between May 4th and September 4th. You should probably play them.

Bonus challenge: identify the which album/song title(s) I named the maps after. (Hint: There are a few with original names but I'm not telling you which!)

Overall a lot of bad maps. 2/5 I redact and state that this is a slightly above average pack with lots of favorites.

Comments:
  • A Final Kiss on Poisoned Cheeks: cool tiles, bad gameplay
  • Black Stage: good concept, good difficulty curve, maybe submit it to NUMA Userlevel'd.
  • Dirty Fingernails: simple map, kind of boring
  • Electric Godcave: nice concept floorguard jumper
  • Evening: the gold under the oneways was bad
  • Faraway Prince: very good map, but I didn't like the rocket placement
  • Frolic in Brine: interesting use of lasers, but was very tedious
  • If Your Nerves Are Shot: fantastic, NUMA-worthy map Userlevel'd.
  • In The Name Of The Law: too easy to pass through the chaingun bullets, but fun
  • Later During a Flaming Riviera Sunset (After Rapidly Circling the Plaza): Looked horrible, played alright
  • Lightly Intoned: very fun, but a bit ugly
  • Portable Head: awesome concept, submit it to NUMA if you want Userlevel'd.
  • Rattlesnake: by far the best map in the pack, I love this type of map, SUBMIT TO NUMA Userlevel'd.
  • Sandcastle/trench: great gold, fun map, maybe submit to NUMA Userlevel'd.
  • Sashay Through Sarcasm (00-1): bland map, very boring
  • Sketch: filler map to the max, virtually pointless
  • Terzo Quadro: excellent for speedruns, submit it to NUMA if you want Userlevel'd.
  • The Lowest Form Of Map: yuck is all I will say
  • The Persian Caravan: interesting bottom section, but bad top section
  • The Power Of Independent Trucking: good rocket, good floorguard, bad gold
  • They Told Me About You: didn't like the gold placement or the exit switch loacation
  • Treatise of Morals: the drones killed the fun in the map
  • Truckbed: only Wizard2 can make good maps like this
  • Underground Session: I didn't like the top gold, or the spammed gausses

Gotta love the seemingly random nature of normal doors :3

I have no idea what Aidiera has been smoking, this pack is absolutely wonderful, one of the best I've ever played without a doubt. The mechanics throughout are brilliantly inventive, just figuring out how they work is great fun. A handful of maps I might describe as below-par, but even those mostly still have interesting/unique aspects to them. All in all, a fascinating and fantastic pack!

Favourites: Barbed Wire Maggots, Beautiful Blood, Black Stage, Demon Lung, Derinkuyu, Electric Godcave, Faraway Prince, Here Not Here, Inhale Stale Air, Later During a Flaming Riviera Sunset, New Smooth Lunch, Noise From Far East, Rough Sketch, Sadame, Sandcastle/trench, The Persian Caravan, Third World War Country, Tread on Sure Ground, Treatise of Morals, Underground Session, Yellow Fields, Z (though I can't get beyond the first 3-4 levels of this last one...)

P.S. I have no idea how many of them you cribbed from other sources, but the map titles in here sound cool as shit

EDIT: Dammit, got to the locked door/thwump part in the top left of Z before I died...

glad you like them! looking back on these they're definitely some of the finest work i've ever done. an hour or more went into a lot of them, which is time i almost never spend nowadays. it's pretty bizarre how how quality it is actually, this is literally just every map i made solo in summer 2010, no further thought/organization/planning.
