N "ported" to the DS? Pssh.

SystelCyrus wrote:You'd be surprised, actually, it's a lot more powerful than people give credit to it. I've played around with writing homebrew games with it and it's a pretty powerful little sucker. It just doesn't have that much RAM, like 4 megs IIRC.

If it could handle ported 64 games then it shouldn't have a problem with running this.

They released n on the computer as a flash based game, then ported it to the DS as n+. They have a DS SDK, so most likely it'll be for the PC and DS. We were discussing the console version, but they very well could make it for the PC as well.
jinxedmodder wrote:No I am not.
N isn't the same as N+. It is similar but is not the same, so N+ isn't just N "ported" to the DS
SystelCyrus wrote: Hey, if you want to be a dick about minor lexical errors, be my guest. I haven't played n+, but I've seen gameplay and it's essentially the same thing.
jinxedmodder wrote:So I'm a dick for simply just correcting you?
SystelCyrus wrote:Well you didn't really correct me. You pointed out an irrelevant fact. But yeah, yeah you are.
jinxedmodder wrote:Yes I did. You said it N was ported to the DS, and I corrected you saying that it wasn't and you were wrong.
SystelCyrus wrote:No, you didn't.

Now seriously, shut the fuck up.

And yeah, it was ported to the DS. Minor alterations don't mean it's a different game.

This "conversation" is over.
jinxedmodder wrote:The drones are different, there are even some new drones, and you can land right in front of a floor guard and still get away from it.(Personal note: wtf is up with that?) The only things that really stayed the same was the ninja. It obviously wasn't ported.
And yes, I did.

Well, your first mistake was arguing on YouTube. How did you not expect this to happen? It's /YouTube/.

The second mistake was posting it here. This topic is pointless.

No. Need third-party criticism and opinion.

I'm very 'correct' and don't let people go around saying things that aren't true. And where else would I have the debate? Would you of liked me to ask him for his e-mail and THEN debated him? The medium doesn't matter, as long as you can still type things in and have the other read them. And I was completely aware that he might be one of those noobs.

And the third mistake was placing this in Politics and Debate. This should be at least in N Discussion.

Then why are you complaining about it? Obviously, you're in the right about N vs. N+. You got what was coming to you when, despite having recognized the risk, you decided to argue against a YouTuber. There's no need to rally us around you, or whatever you were attempting to do, just because someone is wrong on the Internet. Leave the poor noob to his blissful, pugnacious ignorance.

Edit: This is in Politics & Debate? Wow. I think the YouTuber might've been able to make a better topic than this.

I read that and found myself agreeing with the youtube dude. Particulars aside, n+ brings you pretty damn close to having an 'n' experience on the Nintendo DS. It may not be exactly the same, but this is about videogames, and it's not exactly a court proceeding.

N+ is a port of N to 360/DS/PSP.
End discussion.

I'm agreeing with YouTube debater guy, SystelCyrus or whatever the dude's name is.

N and N+ are not different games at all. My understanding is that Nv1.5 will have the same enemies from N+. Does that make Nv1.5 an entirely new game from Nv1.4? Not at all. Just like Nreality is an addition or an expansion on the game, N+ is not an entirely new game in itself.

It's like you're trying to argue that a Fuji apple and a Gala apple are two different fruits even though they are both variations on the same thing.

Your correction was fairly dickish, considering the tone of your earlier comments, as was the way you carried on after that, but most dickish is this topic and this comment in particular:
jindex_07 wrote:I'm very 'correct' and don't let people go around saying things that aren't true. And where else would I have the debate? The guy's comment was not incorrect—at worst it was a slight oversimplification—and he's clearly not a noob, being familiar with the history of N as well as DS programming. Really, I think he was completely in the right: in layman's terms, N+ is most certainly a port. SystelCyrus assumed you didn't know anything about N and so provided a brief overview of the situation. The specifics of how N+ differs from N are not relevant to his sentence's target audience. I think you should have recognised this and moved on instead of stubbonly insisting that you were making some kind of important correction.

P.S. Please don't suggest this was a debate. All you did was repeat the same thing over and over.

No, you're not. Sometimes you should let the thing aren't true win the /discussion/. Mostly because it has no point, so that you won't win or lose anything (including respect -he is a YouTuber-), so just shut that thing up.

I should add that all the games Metanet made so far has relationships between them. Not including, Robotology and Office Yeti game.

. . .

After all, N+ is not an original game itself, N was created first. If N+ was created before N, then what you argued for would be true, jinxed. You can see N+ as an expansion pack of the N for PSP/DS/XBOX.

Office Yeti?
Man, I really haven't checked out the metanet site in a while. ><

edit: sounds intriguing.
