Fascinating. Although in my experience, people tend to be named before they have any meaningful life experiences, and the name stays more or less constant throughout their lives.

The example they gave was a woman who was named Temptress who lived a life of crime and promiscuity. The idea is that the type of life she led had less to do with being named Temptress and more to do with being raised by parents who were the kind of people who would name their kid Temptress.

That makes sense, but only in the case of a name being suggestive of demographic. What are we destined to be, Tanny? Communists?
