That doesn't sound like something The Acme of Evolution would say. Which side of this proverbial horse are you riding on, Demonz?DemonzLunchBreak wrote:I acknowledge the possibility that my beliefs could be incorrect and so to die for them would be a waste of life, which is something I can't stand for.

Normally when I ride a horse I put one leg on either side.

You know, riding a horse sideways (as women in dresses used to) is actually surprisingly difficult. I would fully recommend the both-sides method.
It's very difficult to define exactly what I would give my life for. Anything I thought was more valuable than my life, I'd like to say. But my own selfishness would probably set the bar higher.

Where did that come from? Really, no. (Of course I'd never know for sure how I'd react if the scenario presented itself in reality, but as far as I understand of myself) I would still sacrifice myself in the same way, even if for any reason I knew I was hell-/annihilation-bound, or bound to end up in any other sort of undesired state afterwards.blue_tetris wrote:I think people die for causes because they believe, on some subconscious level, that they'll get to experience whatever their death acheived.
