Moreover, it seems that these will be active not only in malls (on private property where the owners are perfectly within their rights to monitor people) but also outside.

It's bad enough that I don't have 360 degrees of eyes around my head to make sure I see in every direction that could possibly see me. Imagine if these guys who are looking at me without my knowledge are planning evil, like advertising their CORPORATE brands to me with their CORPORATE ADVERTISEMENTS. I MEAN COME ON. The next thing you know, they'll be advertising our women in their sleep and handing out candy from windowless vans, attempting to advertise to children on the playgrounds. I pretty much agree with demonz. I'm happy for a computer to roughly estimate my gender with 80-90% accuracy while i'm walking through a shopping centre. I don't think i'd be comfortable with much more than that, though.

What happens if a gay guy walks by and an advertisement pops up trying to sell Playboy? I am going to write angry letters to the company designing these things until they make advertisements that can specifically read my mind to see who I really am.
