Umm.. no. Evil is completely subjective, therefore your statement is incorrect.
You have as much of a reason to believe that evil is subjective as Tunco does for calling it the lack of God's love.
Saying something that sounds meaningful does not make it true. That's one of my biggest pet peeves, which I refer to as the "wouldn't it be cool if" principle and blame for things like karma, reincarnation, and other mysticisms.

Evil is a value. And values are subjective. Unless you're going to formulate an objective list of what is and isn't moral. In that case, where do you get the objective standard? Do you just look around you? Even if you did, you'd still be making the decision as to what values to lift from nature. Do you look to yourself? If you did, that would assume not only that there is an objective standard, but that you are that standard. The rules of morality are not inherent in nature. We create them.

I believe that evil being subjective seems to make the most sense, but when it comes right down to it, I've no clue. And that was basically my point, that he doesn't have a clue either.

God created beings (Satan, angels who became demons) who were capable of creating evil. I suppose one could say that God -indirectly- created evil, but that's not the same subject.

Also, blue_tetris wins.

God gave us the gift of free will. Anyway who perceives God as evil has a blinded and warped perception on reality since God sent his only son to die to save us. What could be more loving than that?

What could be more loving than needlessly killing your own son when you could just use your omnipotent powers to save everyone from the problems you created in the first place? Is that what you're asking?

I was afraid something like this would happen.

The viewpoint of many atheists that God can and will and should do anything, since he's so nice and has infinite power and never wants anyone to endure hardship. Therefore, they won't accept statements about God that attempt to prove themselves, or say that God is nice for doing any one thing, like sacrificing himself, when he should have done something much more cost-effective like just saying "Ehh, who cares about justice?" and wiping everybody clean.

I think yes, because if he did not create evil, then, we would not be in this conversasion right now. What i mean is, if he did not create evil, then evil would not exist, therefore, even the word evil could not exist. Evil is a way of life, if you are evil, then you do... evil things. And if god created you, which is highly likely... then he too, would be evil. duhs...

I don't understand your meaning at all. Surely *any* behavior by God would coincide with a certain principle system, but that doesn't mean he's following it, does he? What if he's the standard of justice?

If God is the standard of justice then saying things like "God sacrificed His son! See how just He is!" is completely pointless, because whether God is loving or just or whatever is not determined or made manifest by any of His actions but rather something which is known a priori. If God's behaviour coincides with a certain set of principles (let's say justice), but it's actually a fluke and He doesn't really follow them, then He's not truly just - any more than the laws of physics are "just" when a murderer is hanged and gravity is kind enough to assist in the process.

Well, I thought that what you were saying was that God was following his own created morality. My problem is,

In what way, following any sort of religious morality, is it justice to send a piece of you, your very son, to die for the sins of people whom, by your own admission, you knew were going to do the crime in the first place? The last bit might be more passive, but I really don't understand the "die for our sins" thing.

Not to mention that this wasn't at all an original idea. Plenty of (presumably false) gods in millennia before Him were also fond of being born of a virgin and walking around with a posse, performing miracles, and later resurrecting after an execution. I hold higher expectations for an omnipotent being's creativity.
