I was thinking last night: when does faith in something become blind? Is true faith in its self blind? What's your view?

It is inherently blind. The only difference between faith and logic is one requires you to believe something without finding facts to back it up.

Faith is always blind. Judge by experience. The unknown is the only variable.

Question, though. I'm reminded of another platitude referencing a lack of sight in a noun. "Love is blind." I would imagine, though, that we can all agree that love isn't bad purely because of its blindness (feel free to make me eat these words). So, question:

Faith is blind. Does that make it bad or wrong?

If your love is blind, that only means that you don't know who you'll fall in love with. If your justice is blind, that only means that it's impartial. If your watchmaker is blind, it means that he's got mad skills, or that you shouldn't trust your watch to be reliable.
Heh, actually, the first thing that popped into my mind with the phrase "love is blind" is the song of the same name by Eve. You can Google for the lyrics, yourself, but the relevant line here is, "what you think is love is truly not." Clearly, blind love can easily be a bad thing.
I don't think "blind" retains its meaning as it's applied to various abstract nouns.

Blind justice refers to finding truth without preconceived misconceptions.
Blind faith is the attempt to find truth through the exclusive use of preconceived misconceptions.

Well, faith can realistically apply to anything that a person feels the need to apply it to. You don't necessarily have to be religious to have faith in something, but religion does require nothing but a damn good amount of it.

Well considering that,

My 'faith' isn't blind, I have expierenced, seen, witnessed, etc. miracles and proof of God.

That's all I have to say for now.

My faith isn't 'blind', I have seen very valid proof of god's exsistence, got a problem with that?

Faith need not be "blind" - it can also be extrapolative. If your friend builds three planes and they all fly, believing that the fourth one works before you know enough about it's design and construction to reason about whether it will can be considered an act of faith because it's a conclusion that isn't logically valid, but isn't blind as it's supported by inconclusive evidence.

Faith in the supernatural, however, is always blind, because there's currently no scientific evidence in its favor.
