Pretty sure "boredom" is a synonym for "sensation seeking".

What is this debate about? Is anyone going to argue otherwise? Stupid people get high too.

Did you understand the article? Nobody's saying that stupid people don't get high.

Boredom is the cause, "sensation seeking" is the effect.

I agree with this, solely based on the fact that I'm in a smart social group and we like to get high.

And on the flip side, I have never been high in my life and I'm a total idiot!

I love emerging drugs, such as the NBOMe and DragonFLY series', just as examples of proof; that not only do smart people like to get high, but they like to get high so much that they will dedicate careers to developing newer better ways to get higher for longer on less. And of course, our father Sasha testifies quite explicitly to the fact :).

Bromo-DragonFLY? Really? When people use it and know what they're taking, it's okay (but according to people who have taken it it isn't exactly spectacular), but it scares the hell out of me that vendors have, on multiple occasions, sold it as 2C-B-FLY, 2C-E, etc. It is far more potent than those drugs and unlike the NBOMe's it's orally active, which makes it easier to do stupid things.

Also, the FLY series of benzodidihydrofurans is distinct from the DragonFLY series of benzodifurans. Perhaps you meant the former?

I have yet to try either the DragonFLY or NBOMe derivatives, I meant I like them for what they are -- though, having some experience with 24-hour+ trips, I'm sure they would be perfectly enjoyable. I understand NBOMe (25I-NBOMe for instance) is sold on blotter -- how can it not be orally active? Of course, bad people doing bad things is alarming, but you can't blame the scientists for the actions of the vendors. People really need to be more careful about where they source their drugs, in my opinion.

Yeah, the FLY series is another example of the fact I was describing. Again, I wasn't trying to imply I take these drugs, only that I like the fact that they are made, that scientists are still developing new and more interesting psychoactives.

The whole 2C family, and it many, many derivatives, are a little frightening in regard their vasoconstrictive tendencies and low LD50/active dose ratio, and I would certainly advocate LSD over them for anyone wanting simply to experience a psychedelic trip, but I think it is good and proper that research is continuing into the ocean of opportunities that Shulgin uncovered.

I understand the DragonFLY series are the amphetamine analogue of the FLY series?

As an interesting aside, did you know the have combined the NBOMe and FLY series, and tests (only in vitro) show them to be remarkably potent serotonergics, as one would expect. I wonder what something like 25PDragonFLY-NBOMe (2C-P being one of the most potent) would do... I've no doubt it would be even more potent than LSD.

Sounds like both.

It seems like a huge variable would be having the economic means to support a fairly expensive cocaine/heroine/weed habit.

You know what's expensive these days? Goddamn petrol. I swear they must be putting liquid gold into that shit for it to be so expensive. I literally spend about $70-$80 a month on gas, and I don't even drive every day. Everything else is exiguous in cost.
