Bahahahaha. Read my mind. Lickilicky's even worse because Lickitung, unlike Nosepass, was actually really cool to begin with. I mean, a good deal of the fourth generation came out pretty well (I happen to really like Mismagius, among others), but some... I direct you to the above image and rest my case.hairscapades wrote:Pheidippides wrote:Ooh, Chase, one of my hallmates showed me that last night. Those look... Rather interesting, I must admit. Especially the battle screenshot... Are they going the route of Battle Revolution, and actually showing the Pokemon hitting each other?Chase wrote:Screenshots of the new games. http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/
In fact, the whole game seems to be taking a lower viewing angle. And the city... Actually looks like a city.

It's a statistical impossibility that your Pokemon (most of which aren't even breedable) could all have maximum HP IVs. Approximately 2 to the power of 30 against. You cheated your little pants off and now are trying to lie about it.987654321 wrote:The only cheating I used. I copied the save files from my 1999 desktop.

Yeah, those look incredible. Although, in HGSS, you can't really walk behind things that you should be able to walk behind. Whitney's Gym is the most obvious example of this, I think. Maybe there will be changes in the camera angle if, say, you're in that city screenshot, walk back down that street, and turn left or right? That'd be sick.Drathmoore wrote:Those look... Edit: Just realized that Sprout Tower's pillar isn't an obstacle, and you can walk behind it pretty well. Maybe Whitney's just bad at designing Gyms.
Edit: Also realized that this will be the first time two new generations of Pokemon were introduced on the same system since RBY/GSC hit the GBC just over a decade ago. Although, it's not the first time since then that two completely different regions are available on the same system, as RSE and FRLG paired Hoenn and Kanto on the GBA. Yay, meaningless almost-trivia?

HP up doesn't affect IVs.987654321 wrote:Ever hear of hp up? Celadon City.
Actually... No. It's not that unlikely, oddly enough. The HP DV was calculated very differently on Pokemon Red.hairscapades wrote: It's a statistical impossibility that your Pokemon (most of which aren't even breedable) could all have maximum HP IVs. Basically, the HP DV was calculated via the other DVs. Starting with a HP DV of 0, if the attack DV is odd, add 8. If the Defense DV is odd, add 4. If the Speed DV is odd, add 2, and if the Special DV is odd, add 1. If all of the DVs of the regular stats are odd, then the HP DV = 8 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 15.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, NINTENDO?Bulbapedia wrote:Spoink is a gray-colored, piglike Pokémon with dark, circular eyes, stubby arms, a large gray nose, and small ears. Spoink is most notable in that it leads an unusually fragile existence. It possesses no hind legs and motion is achieved by bouncing on its spring like tail. However, the bouncing serves a far more vital function in that it keeps its heart beating; if it's stopped from bouncing, it'll go into cardiac arrest and die. It also wears a pearl produced by a Clamperl on top of its head to amplify its psychic powers. However, if it loses the pearl, it begins to weaken, so Spoink is in constant danger from either ceasing to bounce or losing its pearl.

HP Up affects Effort values but not Individual values. You can't get max stat without having full in both.987654321 wrote:Ever hear of hp up? Celadon City.
Yeah, you're right. But the odds against getting full HP IVs in all six Pokemon are still astronomical to the point of the being impossible. The needle's just in a haystack instead of a barn full of haystacks.Drathmoore wrote:Actually... No. It's not that unlikely, oddly enough. The HP DV was calculated very differently on Pokemon Red.

You're close. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/EVs#Generation_IPheidippides wrote:HP Up also worked differently on RBY. It literally raised the base HP of your Pokemon, on the spot. Not sure if there was a limit other than the stat's maximum value.
