Honestly, probably something close to ten.

They probably all have to be series 2 as well.

You can get a hat for 4-5 crates, series 1 or 2.

Series 1 are wanted as the chance for an unusual is higher than in series 2 by a whole percent.

PS - I now own two Max's Heads and a Lugermorph. Had offers of Buds, Bill's, +8 hats for the Max's.

I love trading.

Really? Almost everyone I've talked to have said that Series 2 is better. The logic is that there is one more hat listed on the box, and the weapons are all from the last update.

As mentioned, it's balanced with the higher unusual rate in series 1. Crate hats are falling in value. Chieftain's will hold it's own for a little longer due to soldier being the most played class = higher demand, but people are mostly hungry for those unusual hats.

Series 2 are easier to move, though.

Any of you have one of these hats for trade?
Tough Guy's Toque, Hot Rod, Safe'n'Sound, Trophy belt
If so, how many crates would you trade it for?

Define give.
Also, paint is removable, right? (that's what I've heard)

Give, as in, I find the item culture of TF2 annoying so when I do play, I don't really get anything from hats.

I don't know if we are friends on Steam, but I am BustingLenin. I'll be back at my computer on Sunday night.

There is a SlappyMcgee in my friends list. I'm FearlessLeader, by the way.

Also, I finally installed my PSU and graphics card!

I've been playing with a resolution of 640x480, with lowest settings, and a configuration to lower the graphic settings even further. It's like a whole new world.

The masks are actually really useful for sorting weapons in your backpack: http://www.tf2items.com/id/Calcy (see pages 3 and 4)

Aww shit I should have thought of that before the update ended, now I have to get one of every class token to do that.

Backpack update! - http://www.tf2items.com/id/wilderness

Two Unusuals
Attendant with Ghosts
Hallmark with Heart

29 Refined metal (sitting on it for next poly update, highly recommend you get in on this if you can)
Tradable Unusual Metal
Non-Tradable Unusual Metal
Spine Splitting Skull
Earbuds
Bill's
7 other hats
And stuff

Stopping trading now, pretty much. Got the two unusuals I wanted and hoarded all the metal I'll ever need.

Now to play some Team fortress 2....

Nope.

Yeah... the addition of trading just made 20% of the people in any server sit in spawn requesting trades. The only time I've traded is when I've random'd a crate and immediately took the best offer. (Black box 2 days after polycount update!)

Silly.

I have 10 regular servers that are full almost 24/7 with 24 man vanilla spawn/settings goodness. Old Fashioned TF2. Great.
I have 3 regular trade servers I use to double my stock every few days and trade up to the next unusual hat on my list.

FPS is still there, the servers I play on there's maybe a trade every few minutes when someone's waiting to respawn. At most.

Trading is fun for me just as much as the game is and I see almost no negative impact on most servers these days.

Not sure why people are whining about trading. I find it really enjoyable playing these virtual economies. And, as mentioned, decent servers still run with almost no interference.

I guess people like to make a fuss, and the "good old days" are always golden.

Either that or the hat poor are just green.

So, I was bored and ticked off that atob does not understand our complaint relating to a decreased focus on new content and balancing current content versus an increased focus on making more hats, and subsequently made this (accurate) graph:

Image

The info was collected by hand as it is not readily available, so there might be some minor clerical errors. The X-axis is time in months, the Y-Axis is the number of each object released.
