Didn't you, like, sell your Steam account once because you had way more games than you'd ever play? That was you, right?

Oh my god, yes. I only just got Steam today, and I am so happy I did now.

10 games, because I only had $15 today. Having said that, you know what day it is tomorrow? P-P-P-P-P-Payday! :D

Tip: Don't but anything that isn't a daily deal until January 2nd (the last day of the sale).

I got Super Meat Boy and Trine today (the later of which was because a friend gifted me Civ 4 and we've both been wanting to play Trine, so I got it for both of us).

And finally, if for some bizarre reason you don't currently own Portal, buy it right-got-damn-now. It is $3.74, which is only the price of a couple tacos or big mac combo.

I am so disappointed that SMB doesn't allow control changes. My right key is broken. :/

Xbox version is much better, granted, they do recommend a controller on PC as well.

HOLY FUCK WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THIS WAS HAPPENING

I bought the Deus Ex's, KOTOR, and L4D2.
I don't actually couldn't tell you why I bought L4D2, seeing as how I don't really have a computer that could play it right now.

This is why we all love Valve and the things they do. I had similar thoughts when purchasing Minecraft last night. $10 and you get free updates and add-ons for life. DRM-free, easy as hell to purchase and download, and insanely amazing. Valve may be delaying some major games for always and forever but they are doing incredible things for computer gaming, such as these fantastic sales. TAKE A HINT, MEGA-CORPORATIONS

I bought the $100 Valve Pack on Friday or something. It took my computer 2 days to download TF2. I've been playing it since yesterday, and my only comment on the game so far is this:

Fuck. Pyros.

Oh hey. Who bought the Square Enix Pack?

Who made a $550 saving on 47 games? Yeah, it was actually my housemate, but he's letting me play it. I'll get that pack soon. :P

I got Secret of Monkey Island bundle two days ago, for people keeping track. The day that was only old deals has slowed me down, at a healthy 31. (i THINK.)

oh, goddamit. I just missed out on Mass Effect games being 80% off and a $20 copy of Dead Rising 2. When I went to the page, there was 8 seconds left on the counter. :/

EDIT: Although looking at todays deals, I have to highly recommend Machinarium if you don't have it. It's great (Although really, it'd be smarter to ignore the daily deal for it and get it through Humble Bundle).

I really do not like Machinarium. It is, for me, the wrong kind of puzzle.

Agree. It's a frustrating straight line of a game.

I require input regarding the following:
  • Killing Floor: YouTube gameplay videos give me the impression that this game quickly gets monotonous; is this true [y/n]? Also, how is the single-player experience?
  • Mirror's Edge
  • Half-Life: Blue Shift
  • Half-Life: Opposing Force
  • Gothic: (any of the series)

Mirror's Edge is something you should try before you buy (although at 5 bucks, it might as well be a rental anyway). I enjoyed it quite a bit. The campaign is only 5-6 hours, but the time trials can be played over and over if you want more. On the better levels, the feeling of 'holy shit I'm flying along rooftops' is pretty awesome, they unfortunately through a few levels that make no sense in there with them.

Definitely worth $5 in my opinion.
