Orange- N cannot be spoken, or even thought about in my household. If my parents ever found out that I have played N since the cleansing, my life would be ruined. I keep the game in a multi-passworded .rar on a USB flash drive inside a locked boron alloy container that requires two keys to open (I keep one under the 64th hammer in my piano, and the other one in a small section of removable ceiling in the corner of the attic) hidden in a wall compartment lined with aluminium foil to prevent sonar detection behind my 375 kg cupboard, which is bolted to the floor - the only way to reach it is to abseil outside the fourth floor window and use a screwdriver to unfasten the screws holding the secret brick in place on the opposite side of the wall, but the screwdriver must be a specific type like the one I own, since if any other screwdriver comes into contact with the screws, the entire building will explode, as will a seperate charge placed inside the boron alloy container, rendering the USB useless. Even once the container is retrieved, attemping to open it without the arming pin in place (which is kept inside the battery compartment of my Maglite) will cause the water reservoirs lining the container to burst and react with the caesium lining, causing the container to burst into flames - the only way to prevent this is to use the arming pins to shut off the reservoirs with a sliding steel door. The USB itself contains an accelerometer linked to an explosive charge, meaning that if the USB detects its own movement speed as being greater than 5 cm/s, it will explode - any person attempting to steal it would have to move at a uselessly slow speed. Once plugged into a computer, the USB will upload a ghost virus onto it, leaving no traces. Only the right password can deactivate this virus, and if it is left on the computer for more than six hours, it will format all drives.

As you can see, I take my N playing very seriously.

On the other hand, this video has gone viral as a motherfucker and I'll bet preorders of this game have skyrocketed.

The Wii and Nintendo in general, despite many examples to contrary, still has a reputation as being a children's console. It was a big deal when Manhunt 2 came out for the Wii but now nobody cares.

This post is retarded. Of course the gaming industry combines geekiness and sexiness successfully. Jill Valentine or Lara Croft? Alyx Vance or Sarah Kerrigan? Chun-Li, Misty, Midna, Carmen fucking Sandiego? You've either failed at communicating or failed at rational thought here.

I think it would be communicating then.

While gaming does have sexiness like Laura Croft and many other ways dealing with curves, I do not think gaming is supposed to actually get the action going with real humans in the room playing the game with you. Or multiple humans. If this spoiler is a real game in development, then not only has Wii shown a face that doesn't belong to its consumers but it would ruin the gaming industry.

I'd like to add though that my dad believes the first Street Fighter game ruined the gamin industry in his eyes, but he is caught in the old-old school games (Pong, etc)... hopefully this isn't the same or similar thing happening again with whatever this thing is.

Spin the Bottle and Strip Poker are fine examples of games with a real-world sexual component. Why couldn't a video game do something similar, particularly one that's motion controlled?

First of all, a single game cannot "ruin the gaming industry". What does that even mean? What would that even look like?

Secondly, this game isn't going to, in the vast majority of instances, devolve into group sex. People are going to be drunk and tired of playing Just Dance and Mario Party and their going to pop this in for a few laughs and a chance to slap that one chick's ass. If you think that this game is going "get the action going" (I assume you mean sex) then you've obviously never had the action get... going.

Lastly, we've already discussed that the Wii doesn't deal exclusively in children's games. Read the other posts in this thread.

When I hear "ruin the gaming industry," I see a certain type of gamer, who starts to love games at a certain time in their life. For my dad, he liked games when they were still something new, in particular Stargate, Mr. Do, and Pengo. He played those games a lot, but probably no more than we play our games today (though then, they cost $.25 per play). I do believe still that one game can ruin the gaming industry, but it is a matter of perspective, depending on the type of gamer. For my dad, that game would be Street Fighter, I've heard him say that many times. This type of game symbolizes a shift in the new types of games that come out, and since Street Fighter was a very popular game, the companies made more similar games to rake in the dough (also by increasing costs per play as well). SO.. all of my dad's favorite games became more outdated, and no new games of that style were in production. So, for my dad, Street Fighter did ruin the gaming industry, as no more of his types of games were in production.

You're right, I never had the action going for me, so maybe it was premature to say that this game will invoke group sex. Or even normal one-on-one. Whatever, I'll be honest and just say this is out of my league. What I was going for, which also might be premature, is that this game is similar to Street Fighter for my dad... that it could change the gaming industry, and if it does it'll ruin it for some. I doubt my Dad knew when he first saw SF and no other copycats were released that he would not like any new games that come out, and here would probably be the same situation, it will be impossible to tell until after the change has passed what it will do.

And while I still believe that this game might be better accepted by xbox or playstation, I guess it doesn't matter much more if it is a Wii game..

You and your dad are the only things ruining the gaming industry.

Ruin != Change, should've used different words (like "could potentially start a new movement in mainstream gaming whereby all the AAA titles involve motion controller controlled sex"), move along with the discussion plzthx.

On another note, I've had experiences where games have invoked sexual escapades, but they weren't this type of game, nor where they platformers or shooters or w/e else you can think of. Usually it's those pr0n flash games, used as some form of icebreaker. I was surprised to learn how many girls play those games, considering how male-centric most of them are.

That's stupid. Just because one game came out and a ton of other companies rushed to cash in on the concept does not mean that every other game in the world will be a clone of that game. Innovation will constantly pump fresh content into the gaming industry, regardless of what the cool thing is at the moment.

I don't pay between 40-70 dollars for Spin the Bottle. As I said, it's studios making sub-par casual games like this that are overshadowing the -real- game makers and generally degrading the experience for all, especially the less casual gamers.

Then... don't pay $40-$70 for Spin the Digital Bottle?
I don't quite get how the moronic target market for these games affects your gaming experience. Are you saying that makers of quality games will be that much more tempted to sell out and, rather than make an awesome game you'd enjoy, pander to some tasteless majority? Are you saying that the size of the high-quality gamer market is somehow reduced by the release of shitty games?

Heh, and now I can't get this image out of my mind where some super-awkward nerd couple both jump at the opportunity to play one of these games because they know the other is too shy to make a move on their own. It's a little sad, but whatever works, I guess. Hell, I've hooked up with girls at Multivariable Calc study sessions and (more recently) D&D games, so I guess I'm really not one to judge.
