The Image Shopping Guide

Aphex has created this guide because of the huge amount of signature shops that are opening up on image board street. This large amount of signature shops, has lead to a lot of great signature makers being neglected, due to the fact they are pushed down the pages by other new shops. I'm hoping that this this will stop that, and will be a good resource for the community.

This topic was created by Aphex, and edited by Universezero. Descriptions and shops will be added as they are received.
Any shops in orange are closed. Shops will be listed from most-active at the top to least-active/dead at the bottom.

NEW! Activity meter.
5 stars = active, on first page
4 stars = idle, on first page
3 stars = idle, on second page or more
2 stars = inactive, on second page or more
1 star = closed

Author's description: About a year ago, Izzy discovered the wonders of the magical potato through the works of T3chno. He got that potato eventually and began to make sigs himself by skimming over tutorials and changing stuff. His preferred techniques include smudging, depth-ing, and rendering out stuff to add in his sigs. Styles may vary.

Author's description: My style has changed a few times since I started creating sigs. I used to create sigs with renders and a grid-style overlay (like my Kirby or 1up sig), but I have stopped creating sigs like that, and I am now looking for my new style, so I would be open to creating almost anything. I create sigs with Photoshop, and while I might not know how to use all of the tools expertly, I do know how to use almost all of them pretty well. I will usually make sigs whenever anyone asks for one, unless it is a completely nondescript request or I am being flooded with requests. I don't really have any definite techniques when I create sigs, but I will try to learn better smudging techniques as well as other special skills, as to better all of my sig-creating skills and create as many different types of sigs as I can.

This will be edited shortly.
Mostly I'm going to change the examples of their work. Rarely did you choose one of the better images from that person.
You have been given fair notice.

Aphex did that bit. You can offer some better ones if you like.

Nicely put. Thanks for making this, guys.
Some are written in orange, which means closed, but some shops are not making sigs either, but they are not closed, like incluye's.

I find it odd that you chose my two of my most starkly minimal images. It's really not what I usually do. Also:

[12:12:39] <gloomp> ortsz, why is is that for that image shopping guide thing Aphex selected http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/ma ... iotsig.jpg and / http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/ma ... oozyav.png /?
[12:13:09] <ortsz> Not a clue. I think I was given the option of picking others, but I don't care.
[12:13:17] <gloomp> Mm, me neither.
[12:13:30] <ortsz> The yahoozyav choice is rather baffling.
[12:13:41] <gloomp> I know, right?

I request for adding mine, as now I'm able to work on it.

Description: I usually take some time making the sigs, as I put the effort necessary to it to come pretty in my sights. If when in the process of making a sig, the idea I was working on for an hour doesn't work at the end... I'll just reluctantly rethink and do another, this time much better and refined. So I would say my sig complexity is based around the theme and ideas around that theme. Quite boring isn't it? Well, I quite like them.

Updated. Shop added, somenames changed and dates fixed to include shops on the old forums. Please tell me if I've missed something or made a mistake. Note: Malde37, this guide is mainly for signature shops. N related shops tend not to get on.

Also, could people PM me descriptions of their shops if you don't already have one? Thanks in advance.

Another update; a couple of name changes and links work on the new forums.

I would also like to reiterate that if there is anything that you would like me to change/add to this list, please don't hesitate to ask/demand.

'Nother of my infrequent updates. Some shops moved according to activity. Speaking of which, I have added a new 'activity meter'.

NEW! Activity meter.
5 stars = active, on first page
4 stars = idle, on first page
3 stars = idle, on second page or more
2 stars = inactive, on second page or more
1 star = closed

The reason for this is because almost all the shops have little to no traffic, which is a little sad. However, the customers must be aware. So, anyhoo, this thing is still up, so if anyone has anything they'd like added, don't hesitate 'cause you think this guide's getting no attention. :) Not that this thing needs much attention... the image forum is practically dead. :(
