Hello friends,
I just wanted to take this time to expand a little on what you can look forward to from me with this upcoming election. It would be easy for me to just say that you know me already. You know how I am as an operator. You know me to be fair and objective. You know that I see myself as just another member of the channel and that even when KinGAleX offered me a chance to be promoted to sop, I asked for the honour of running in this election instead . It would be easy for me to rest on my laurels and let my actions speak for themselves but I'm not satisfied with that because I think I can do even better.
What I really want, more than anything, is a dialogue between myself and everyone else. It annoys me sometimes that, despite the fact that it's the Internet Relay Chat, there doesn't seem to be any real communication between the staff and the users. But what are the staff there for but to serve and protect us? Now don't get me wrong here, I'm not talking about a higher standard here. I don't intend to, in any way, raise the staff up to be on another level. What I'm proposing here is a system of equals where communication and democracy are key. I don't need to make any promises because you all already know what you're getting with me.
And so I hope to have your vote come election day and I would love to hear any questions you have concerning anything I've said in this thread. Like I've said, communication is key.
Thank you,
Tanner

How exactly would the voting work? Where would one go to vote?

The last I heard, it was going to be a preferential voting system. A form will be emailed to you on election day if you have registered to vote.ThisIsApakenua wrote:How exactly would the voting work? Where would one go to vote?

What sort of promises would you like? I'd be happy to discuss the topic with you.Nostromo wrote:I want some promises.

You have so impressed me with your response time and obvious commitment to this campaign that I no longer require promises. You haveDuchess of Awesome wrote:What sort of promises would you like? I'd be happy to discuss the topic with you.Nostromo wrote:I want some promises.

Tanner has my vote. He's been a douche to me when I deserved it and helped me out when I needed it.
http://greenbrown.bandcamp.comPeople write to me and say, "I’m giving up, you’re not talking to me." I just write them a simple message like, "Never give up," you know? And it changes their life
